HI Blue,

Yes i had my embryo transfer on 18th. During Egg retrival Anesthesia was given so didnt even got to know about pain, at the time of Embryos transfer also there was no pain, its like IUI. morover my doc had already done Mock ET transfer before my Cycle started. First 4 days complete Bed Rest, get up only to have Food, or to go Toilet, 5th day onwards i can walk inside the house, sit , but not to strain, not to do work, after 2 weeks time there will be blood test. but yes till that time Regular Injections and medication needs to be taken without missing any dose. This waiting period is too long.

Monica
The injections are probably projestorone shots for luteal support ie hormonal support in building a lining for the baby and continue the process in case of implantation occurs.
As for bed rest here in the US patients rest for a day or so at the most and continue on normally if no hyperstimulation of the ovaries is seen. Other than streneous exercise, bath tub soaking baths, other normal everyday activity is not restricted.
Good luck with your cycle.

Hi Dear,

first of all do not be so anxious or nervous be relaxed .Try taking rest for atlest 5 days after ET .Embryo attaches to the uterine lining during this period only .I do not know abt the centre which u r going and the procedure what they follow but where i got it done v were not allowed to get up from bed for 6 hours after transfer not even for urine -on bed only .5 days we were kept on complete bed rest in the hospital itself and the nurse had put a pillow beneath my legs & i rem. the Dr. advising me to lie straight on my back and to avoid lying sideways .
As for the query regarding the injections yes u will be getting progestrone injections either daily or alternate (according to ur case the Dr. will decide ).this is necessary for sustaining pregnancy .Once again i am telling u to be relaxed and calm .Do not hink 2 much abt this thing only .

hi monica,
sorry i didn' t see your previous msg. so u have 8 follicles. pls do not get anxious about anything that may hamper your hormones. believe in your dr. he must be doing good for u. be relaxed. i dont think u need complete bed rest after icsi. my dr. said i should take rest for 2-3 days after icsi but take everything easy for some time.
take care.
