Hi all ,

I am 22 weeks pregnent and recently through my ultrasound Dr. told me that I have low-lying placenta.

Well he asked for another ultrasound in 28 weeks wtih which he will confirm weather its the case if Placenta Praevia.


I am very much worried weather this can create any compliaction .

Please help meout with this....

Also if anyone can tell me what shall I do with my cough .... I am constantly coughing and not willing to take any medecine..

Please help me out...

hey guys...
i am 20 weeks pregnant
i am a surgeon myself, but feeling very tensed for the anomaly scan, hoping everything is normal..being a doctor i can think of hundreds of things...i just hope it comes out normal
have a low lying placenta too..

no need to worry it usually happens in 2nd trimester and will b normal in the third,u can have honitus syrup or honitus toffees. i too have the same problem

Hi!

The only complication i heard from my friends so far with lowlying placenta is they will end up in c-section. other than that....it will not harm the baby. if it is marginal low-lying, it might change to normal position before 3rd trimester. Do not worry....

HI nidhi,

It is safe to take cough medications during pregnancy.....i had cough and i took Benylin DM - which is recommended during pregnancy. for fever or headache, taking tylenol is safe than Advil. presistent cough is not good for you as well as the baby.
