Due Date Club October 2003:To Manvi, Nick and Suni

Hi...thanks for ur comforting words on my message.

Just to updtae you, I had doc's appointment on Saturday. She wants to do another ultrasound on coming Saturday. If the cord is untangled then she will wait for me to go in labour naturally else she says she will induce me by 2nd Oct. Since it is a single loop, she says that there might not be a problem. Depending on how the baby responds, she will perform a normal delivery or a c-sec.

Please pray for me to have a normal delivery. Will keep you all updated. All the best to everyone.

Thanks and love,
Reena

Hi Reena,

I went to see my doctor this morning and asked her about the cord. She mentioned that if it is a single loop they simply slide it out of the neck during delivery. And if it is kinda tighter, they slide it over the shoulders down the baby...either way there should be no undue cause of worry...so please relax, and stay calm...think positive thoughts and all of us are praying for the best for you and the baby.

Thanks again girls...

Suni..thanks for that extra effort..I really appreciate it. And yes as you've mentioned I've been doing some reading on the Internet too. Mine IS a "single loose" loop so hopefully shud not be much of a problem in a normal delivery.

Manisha - The reason why the doc wants to induce earlier is because she does not want the baby to go in stress or maybe tangle him/herself the 2nd time over. That cud be a risky proposition and wud necessitate a c-section.

Thanks again and will keep you posted.

Good luck to all...
Love,
Reena

Hi Reena
Don't worry ,our prayers will definitely be with you.Trust ur doc I am sure he knows what he is doing and it is good for the baby.He knows about it so trust him.
Anyway wish you all the best and don't worry.Nothing is on any of our hands about our delivery. No matter how much pain we go through ,in the end its all worth it for a normal and a healthy baby.

Hi Reena

praying for you that everything will go fine with you and the baby.
I was just curious that why the doc will induce you on 2nd, ur due date is 10th, right? why the doc won't wait till 10th?
Don't worry, we can't take everything in our hands, if doc decided a c-section then trust that it's for the baby's health.

Wish you all the best.
Manisha

Reena,
Can understand ur worry. Be positive, since they already know about this I am sure the doctors will be careful and do their best. I am sure the baby will be fine.
Our prayers are always with you. Have faith in God, even if its a momentary scare, I am sure He will take care of u and the baby..Be cheerful and calm, that will help ur body and future delivery too. Take care.
