I had a good time with my parents in Paris except for the weather. I would have talked more to my Mom if not for the lack of A/C/Fan and fatigue. Anyhow, she had a good time with Diya. When are u planning to goto India. I hope you can spend some time with your mom.
Try giving the pacifier to Smriti and as she settles(like in a min), pull it away. If she cries for it, give it again until she relaxes and looks drowsy. Take it away again and do it until she doesn't ask for it and goes to sleep. Slowly, you can reduce the number of times you give it to her and finally make her sleep without it. Also, since she can put it into her mouth on her own now, you can just let her figure it on her own. Probably try giving it for a couple of mins when she is awake. I stopped giving it to Diya when she was 11 wks old. Now, she has figured how to use her thumb when she goes to sleep. In the beginning I was worried that she may become a thumbsucker like me. But she uses it only when she goes to sleep or when she wants to show me that she is hungry.
To make Smrithi sit on her own, make her sit with pillows and stay with her for a lil bit of time so that she can practice it.

Thank you for your tips. I give her pacifier when I put her down after sleeping. Then she opens her mouth and cries for it. She just wants suck it minute or two, thats it. But mostly she cries for it. If she really tired she just suck her thumb and sleeps. So I guess I have to slowly take it away.

I am planning to go to India in October. I will be staying there for two months.While coming back I will be coming alone. How did Diya behave in flight? Did she sleep good?
