Hi all,

Today i went to dermitalogist as since 5 days i was having some itchy rashes on tummy and thighs.since 2 nights i was unable to sleep for a min because these r so itchy.Today in the morning i went to the doc. She told me that this disease comes in 35 week of pregnancy. It is so itchy taht it disrupts the sleep. It may be all over the body except face.Since yesterday i have it on my arms also. She consulted my Gyn at the same time and gave me pills for 8 days. They may supress it within 24-72 hrs.Otherwise it will go away after deleivery.I am just fed up now .Since sometimes i am having diabetes ,sometimes wrist pain and now this (most horrible of all) as u can't even scratch it .It is all over my tummy .Now i just want that after 36 weeks baby should come.I can't bear this itch anymore.the name of this problem is PUPPP .No reason known till now why it appears.
HAs anyone had this problem?

Please tell me how i can have early labour :)

take care,
Nikki

Hi Nikki,
Well i am in the same boat for the past say 2 weeks and spclly at night its really bad.I asked my Doctor she said it will be there and it will go only after the baby is born.I do understand how terrible it is,i take a shower before i go to sleep and massage the whole body with cocoa butter lotion even on the tummy rather my hubby really helps me doing it and this really helps me,so u too can try this out and don't worry its just a matter of few more weeks pls bear it.
And well about early labour pls wud advise let it take its own time don't hurry(this is my thinking) rest don't worry try to divert ur mind.
Cheer up now and take care,
Uma

Try applying vibudhi[do u know what i mean the sacred ash]it has properties in it which r anti itch.I know abt PUPP it can be really awful.Hope u r relieved of your itching soon.Pls don't lose hope but keep trying home remedies for itching&just ask hubby to massage with oil or stroke but try to resist scratching.

Subject:  Apply Warm Olive Oil-it works

Hi! Nikki!
I am in my 33rd week and due in November. I had this kind of itching on thighs and tummy and 5 weeks ago and it was terrible. I used to get up in the midnight 2 or 3 times and apply my moisturiser. I did not know at that time that it can be some kind of condition. Anyway, my mom told me to do this. Apply WARM(NOT TOO HOT) OLIVE OIL on ur tummy and thighs 3 or 4 times a day initially until the condition reduces. For me it really worked. I got releif in just 2 days. Just take some olive oil and warm it in microwave. Olive oil as far as I know it is of no harm to baby(Since it is used in Italian foods also). Don't apply any other moisturiser along with this. Try this. And the good part is my husband used to massgae my tummy when applying and it used to give lot of relief. When I read ur message, I couldn't wait to reply bcause I know how horrible it feels. The itching is terrible. I don't do this daily but i do this whenever I feel itching is more.
Take care and I hope ur itching goes away.
