Hope you had a great weekend.

I spoke to my doctor about the 37th week induction, she said their clinic doesn't practise it unless they see a problem from NST. Ofcourse, they would induce anyone who would have a problem! She said she would definitely induce the day after my due date incase I haven't delivered yet.

Regarding fundal height, it's measuring a week smaller. It's much better than being three weeks behind.

She didn't do the strep test and will be doing it next week. She explained it to me what it was(yes, the same information you had already given).

When is your next appointment. How are you feeling these days?

earthquake country

Hey again, I just felt an earthquake while I was typing my last message - a few secs - and pretty small and the tv news confirmed it too...
and we did have another one Saturday morning too..around 8:30 and that was bigger than this one...

So getting back to what I was saying - I did some more research on the induction (in cases of abnormal AFP levels) over the weekend and according to what I read - it depends like your doc said, on NST Results and also on the woman's age...also, it is upto to the physician and how he/she feels about it...
but, it's a good thing that your hospital does the induction a day after the due date... I have to find out how long mine waits before doing it...
my next appointment is not until next week.. my lazy doc didn't think I should see her every week yet I guess... :)

Well, I've been getting more paranoid than usual these days....I have a headache - I think about it being a sign of labor, my back hurts I think the same...infact I feel like I am feeling things that I am not actually feeling....
and the boy has been squishing my bladder so much - everytime he does it, I have this urge to go to the restroom along with paranoia... so having all the labor related information has been kind of a blessing in disguise for me.. :)

Anyways.......hope you had a great weekend..... I did a lot of walking in the malls myself, like ARshiya..

Vindhya's dreams

That was quite a dream :)... I was so tired yesterday and so didn't want to cook - I was thinking myself that hope my mom will be up for taking over the kitchen soon after she is here..... so your dream sure was good sign... :)
Hope my parents were looking good too...it's been a while since I've seen them.. :)

You are so right about our doctors... I get so pissed off when she takes everything so casually...they must be gone through 1000's of pregnancy but they sure need to be sensitive to the fact that its our first time...
Mine didn't think an ultrasound was necessary cause she already felt the head..it may be so but she needs to look at it from my side too and realized that maybe I would be relieved a bit to know that the baby is doing ok... aaarghhhh.. makes me so mad...
and especially yours needs to be more sensitive to you cause you have more pressing issues to worry about....
I am really thinking of switching to the PPO option for the baby..and pick a private pediatrician... cause these HMO's, with us they can be as nonchalant as possible but with the baby, the doc sure has to be more attentive and more serious when it comes to his/her well being..

Anyways.... I can go on a longer rant but dont want to bother you too with all my paranoia's..... :)

I will surely follow your advise on controlling the head ache and will talk to my doc about the backache..I do nothing but rest the whole week, so I dont think lack of rest is the root cause here.... :)

I heard that the babiesRus in pleasanton is much bigger and better too...you should visit that one too if you get a chance.. I didn't cause I was planning on getting only a few items (car seat and some clothing)..

If I were 3cm dilated and in pain, I would be in the hospital, yelling at all the insensitive people to take me to the labor room... :)

Too many earthquakes

Avi,

Glad to see your reply. I am not a very sensitive person, so probably wouldn't feel it unless something falls suddenly :)

As for induction, I wanted my doctor to be more serious about it, I felt she said she would induce after my due date just because I asked her this question. Your doctor seems like a easy going person too. How would they understand our situation or seriousness!!

I've been having slight headaches too, but they go away after drinking lots of water. You do the same.

As for backache, do talk to your doctor about it. Hope you take lots of rest.

On Saturday I went out shopping, and couldn't stand as I was having pain on my lower left abdomen, I could feel something hard when I touched there. I think it was her head. Due to this, I skipped going to Babies R'Us, I am yet to buy the car seat. My friend was saying that the Pleasonton one is better than the Union City one.

Regarding my NST test on Friday. It again took two hours. This time, the machine was being used by the lady who was due on Friday and was having lot of pain. She was just 19 yrs old. I don't know why she came to the clinic instead of going to the hospital. She was 3cms dilated already.

I am not exagerrating, but I dreamt that your parents had arrived on Saturday evening and your mom started cooking as soon as she arrived. She was feeling so fresh inspite of travelling for so long. She must have been real excited to see you :)

and great that you cleared up the induction confusion too... I guess every hospital does it its way.....

lIke you said, measuring a week less is no big deal at all.. I am glad your fundus is doing it's job.. :) and am sure your little one is growing just great in there too....
