i'm an expecting mother and now i'm very much worried about my baby.... so please help me in this issue..... actually i was reading an msg on this msg broad regarding ajinamoto...it was told that ajinamoto will cause birth defects.... so i'm worried now..help me plz..
i used ajinamoto twice or thrice in my cooking when i was running 10th week of my pregancy...and now i'm running 13th week.. i want to know will it affect my baby in any case.... what should i do now and how do i retify this ? do i need to consult my doctor...... i'm alone with my husband in california.... my parents are in india and this is my first baby.... my self and my husband love babies a lot. after 2 years of marraige i got pregant with lots of problem...... actaully doc's here had considered me as a pcos patient and they had told me that its defficult for me to get pregnant.....
so i'm very worried and at any cost i want my baby to be healthy... pari replied. hey!! cool down. thats nothing to worry. ajinomoto is nothing but monosodium glutamate. caution is advised while using it only for those who have allergies, sensitivities or other negative reactions. if u experienced nothing after using it, u dont even need to stop using it. its safe for pregnancy. i had chinese food once and had stomach ache after that. (i didnt have pain in the lower abdominal area) just slight discomfort in the area above naval. it may irritate pregnant women's stomach. thats just like spicy food causing heartburn to which u r more prone during pregnancy.
ajinomoto does not cause any birth defects.
one more thing, its always better to clarify ur doubts rather than worrying. u r in usa, here u can always call up ur docs office for the silliest questions in mind. they wont judge u. chances are ur doc will be busy seeing a patient. so ask for the nurse on duty. she is there just to talk to people like u. i call up my nurse so often that she just remembers my name and history by heart. and u cannot even imagine how stupid questions i ask her. but she is always patient in replying and she always says, \";if there are any doubts, feel free to call us\";.

nov 2006. soni replied. oh poor girl If that is the case then all chines/korean/japanis baby should have birth defect .Pl. take it easy. I also see ppl. posting mangoes,banana etc. will coz this or that all silly .
And about the PCOS your doctor told you it would be diff. for you to get preg. not that you will not have take this stress out not good. I have seen so many ppl. with PCOS and they have healthy baby and ya 2 of them were chines and use ajinamoto almost in every meal .
