Hi
For all the working /studying moms who may be away from their babies for long..if u do intend to buy medala breastpump, please research online, found many tips in babyzone forums to buy the same breastpump for less
one of the sites is www(.)fjroberts(.)com, costs only 169$.
Tip given me during breastfeeding class, breast pump is great if ur breasts get engorged (too full and tight) , babies don't suck if its tight..so releiving some heaviness with a pump helps u and baby. so if u are with baby all the time, don't spend too much on this, u get hand pumps too or single pump <100$, if not..try the online sites , heard ebay also giving new sealed pumps (not used or refurbished) for <200$.

Hi Radhika,

169$ sure is a great deal. The breast feeding classes sound so useful. I am not taking them as my hospital doesn't provide. So, I am left with reading and experimenting. Your information sure is helpful.

I was wondering if you had any information on WhisperWear pumps. I am not sure how I could use the Medela pump at work as I sit in a very public place. Can't use it in the car either. How are you all going to use it at office, any ideas?

Vindhya

Hi Radhika,

Sounds like the Medela pump in style is the winner. Like you, even I'll be going home for lunch. I thought we had to pump every two hours. I think we'll gradually learn.

Just wanted to mention that you have precise and very good answers for all the questions.

Have a safe delivery.

Thanks, again,
Vindhya

I do know whisperwear and purely (something) forgot the name are also good...if u have ur own cubicle maybe whisperwear can help, i don't know if its still visible thru' ur clothes and wondered how to insert it without being seen :)..u still need a private place..for me the main office has a breastfeeding room where u can pump /feed if not the other branch has a huge restroom (just one because it has few people and gen we are only two females here so no problem) its almost like bathroom in our homes and is very neat, so have no problems..my cubicle is wide open so i cannot in any way use whisperwear..other moms use breastpump too so don't feel so hesitant even if others knew. I am sure most american moms do use them.
Check all the reviews in baby sites before u buy and there are too many forums and reviews in every site..which may help, medela (the all in one )set has a quiet motor and u can use in car too during breaks if u can. I may not have to use as much at work since i go home for lunch. Lets see how it works out..bargavi is already using it, maybe she could help with some tips when she gets time. I am sure u will find one comfortable..reading all forums/reviews online helps even though its too many to read..take care
