Dear Sups,
I have read ur mail reg. ur IVF .I also have 2 failed attempts although apparently our prob. was of low count .But i think that there is some other problem also .For that i am also very keen to meet Dr. parikh for second opinion.But since i do not stay in Mumbai neither i have any relative in mumbai how to proceed.
I read that u got it done from her and was sucessfull & by ur mail i guess u r also not from mumbai .
Can u please guide me how do i proceed .means any places near the hospital to stay /what does she charge for IVF ICSI /how do i contact her & does she give appointments after months??how long will i have to stay in mumbai .
I will be very thankfull to u if u please guide me .

Hi Rati,

Yes,I don' t live in Mumbai, but my parents do.. so I didn' t have a problem staying in Mumbai. There are good hotels near the hospital, but I really can' t advise you on staying in Mumbai. I guess you' ll need to be in Mumbai for about 2 weeks for the treatment.. Your husband can come just the day before the pickup and stay on till the ET i.e abotu 3-4 days.
Dr Firuza is not very difficult to meet.. You can call and take an appointment with Lynette, her secretary. I guess you shoulsn' t have to wait very long. After that, she' ll review your case and decide on when the treatment can be scheduled. If there are any tests to be done for you or your husband, you may have to get thru those first. You can probably get them done in your city also.
The first step is to meet Dr Firuza, you can thresh out the logistics later.. Its not as difficult as you think, Dr parikh' s staff are extremely helpful.. they can guide you. A lot of patients come from different cities in India, a lot come from abroad too.. So it shouldn' t be a problem.
