Hi friends,

I have a small issue. My hus and MIL are very dominating charatcters.
Basically I am a simple lady and I am somewhat beauty conscious also...

But in their eyes (MIL and DH) I am not that good in dressing n beauty sense...

I have my own way of dressing which is quite good.

But whenever I am going out with my husband, he comments...\" your hair style not good\"
\" your dress not good\" etc... The worst case is that...MIL joins him and says...
\" ur dress sense not good \" n so on...

I am an individual and I have my own style in all the things...

Just to avoid quarrells I changed a loooot as they wish...

I always feel that they r not satisfied with me....as a wife and DIL

Why cant they accept me as I am....

Some times I feel that my hus wants me to carry as a show piece...
I hate that attitude...

Please help me how to tackle this situation. For many ppl, this issue seems to be very simple...but it is hurting me a lottt.



sss replied. no,it is not very simple.it hurts to get such comments and even lower once' s self-esteem.and when it comes from hubby whom one expect to support,it is not at all easy.
what about asking your hubby what kind of dresses he prefer?ask him to get you good ones.or plan a shopping together.if the dress is selected when he is around,he has no reason to complain.act simlarly for hair style also.once he start feeling that you involve him in these matters,chances are that he will loose interest soon and will look in to more serious things of life.once he stop the comments,hopefully your mil will also stop automatically. payal replied. once in a while staer commenting on their dressing sense. suggest new hairstyle to ur hubby n new prints for ur mil even if not required. give back the same.n carry on with ur own style...no need to further accomodate their nasty comments.
