My son's excema is not getting any better at all and I need some help from the board. I am using Hydrocortszon and Bactroban each 2 times a day. When I use them the excema becomes better (doesnt go completely) and if I miss the cream even for half a day it comes back real bad. It oozes out liquid too. Moreover, R scratches a lot...today he has been really restless and scratched so many that ek haath se khoon nikal raha hain. I dont know what to do. Raj, you had written that you used a cream and Sid's excema went away. Can you tell me the name of the cream and what else you did for it to heal? I use almond/olive oil for his massage and have now started putting Aveeno oil in his bath tub.

Sid didnot have very severe excema, he had some rashes around his tummy and neck.He wud scratch it and it wud turn very red.The Dr first suggested Hydrocortisone 1% ointment.It was not working,just like u said..So she prescribed Eulocon ointment.U shud not apply it on the face and max use ot for 5 days.u will not get this med off the counter, u'll need prescription.
My Dr also asked me to use Dove soap, Dreft to wash his clothes(no bleach or fabric softener)..And bath infrequently.U wont believe but i bath Sid only 2 times a week..and i donot use any oil for him..Every time i change his diaper i apply Vaseline Petroleum jelly all over his body.U shud keep his body moisturised..You can also use Aquapor in a jar not dispenser.(walmart/babiesR us main mil jayega)..
Cut his nails when he is asleep, raath ko mitten lajake dekho.Nails na lage tho behatar hai but u know sid hates mittens..If u have started solids for him, just keep an eye on his excema..I know u r already on a diet,My Dr had suggested ths same diet as urs, but luckily this Eulocon ointment worked for him..
