Hi,
I am not sure if any of you here have had dark spots also called Melasma or Pregnancy Mask during pregnancy, if you have, would you know how to get rid of it once the baby is born? is there any cream, home remedy anything that might help to make these spots lighter or to completely cure them?

Looking forward to some suggestions and insights.

Hi Anu and Lakshmi,

I have the same dark spots on my waist.I asked my doc about this and she said it was stretch marks.I asked about any cure after delivery...she said it wld disappear or lighten once the baby is born.So i am just hoping for the best.

Hi Lakshmi,

I too am in the same boat. My color is changed even on the face and around the neck. All I am looking dark and have dark spots on my breast, waist also on the back. No idea how to get to normal after delivery. Let's see if other members have any idea/suggestions.

Hi Anu and Sumana,
I was doing a lil bit of research on the net regarding Melasma and they have lots of cream prescribed to get rid of such dark spots but I would ask my doctor before using it. Will let you all know what she says when I come back from my next appointment.

Lets hope these dark patches go away when the little one arrives.
