my daughter is 6 months old and she cries at night every 2 hrs for the last one month.earlier she used to sleep for good 6-7 hrs since she was born. i started solid when she turned 5 months and she slowly weaned of my milk herself...noe she does;nt want my feed anymore and she cries at night all the time ...i tried giving her cerelac at around 10pm so that she's full but then she kept getting up every half an hour. me and my husband keep holding her throughout the night...and the only time she sleeps for a long stretch for 4 rs is at 5 in the morning...can anyone help????

WEll I have the same prob too...my son is 7 mths old and off late he cries inconsolably at night. I have just went thru various info of this stage and feel that one of the reasons could be teething and the other one is as the baby is very active moving all around during the day..it finds difficult to settle down at night.bcoz i find my son moving crawling away with his eyes closed and crying loudly. still have no solution to this..perhaps it is like this at this stage(???)

it is better baby should play and fun during day time, have little nap and longer in night. It can be avoided that baby never wake during night time if she sleep short during day time

hello ketaki,
i can understand you might be going through real tough time right now. well is your baby drinking formula or any milk at all. coz milk is the main source of food for babies until they are an year old. try not giving your baby any solids after 8:00 pm. and feed her milk before she goes to bed.
is she teething ? doe she pull her ears? talk to her doctor.

where is she sleeping? with you or in a different room. my baby boy has also started getting up a lot since past one week. i think it's from teething.
you can't really do anything about teething. just let them feel comfortable and if she is waking up twice or thrice in a row at same periods- try giving her some Motrin. that will surely help.
or baby Orajel.
wish you good luck and good night sleep.

ur baby is just 6 months old ur saying.then how u give her a cerelac at night. solid food is good but at night how can it digest? so may be ur baby is getting some stomach upset so only crying at night.my adviced is that just stop giving cerelac at midnight ur saying that u'll give at 10'o clock at night.surely it causes her prolem always giving milk is good at night or u may give her cerelac before 8.30 at night. or she may 've gas problem.whatever so far i sharing with u is just my opinion so better to consult ur pediatrician. All the Best !

It appears to me that she is having stomach ache. have u tried giving her 'Mylicon'drops, good for stomach upset. my dd used to do the same a few days back, when I realised that she is drinking more milk and not able to digest, thus crying a lot. try burping her, see to that she is not very much full, let her play if she wants, before going to bed . try this.
