Hi,
We have tried IVF once in Chennai and was unsuccessfull. My wife is suffering with PCOS. Now we are moved to Bangalore and want to consult an infertility specialist. Can any body share their experience/give info about advanced fertility centre in JP Nagar and about Dr. Beena Vasan of Ankur clinic (it seems she is also associated with Manipal hospital) at Rajaji Nagar ?
Your opinions/information would help us is making a decision.

Never go to Dr.Bina Vasan. She is NO good.She will make you run around and leave you with a big hole in your pocket.

Both Bina Vasan and her husband SS.Vasan are just fooling around with the sentiments of their patients.

i am so happy to share wiht u the news that i tested my urine today and saw 2 lines. that means i am positve... after all this month its unbelieable. m still in a big shcok but m so thank ful to God to ahve heard my prayers. i wish all the ladies in this forum to be blessed wiht the same hapiness. ameen

thanks a lot for ur reply dear. i hope u meant 2000 rupees. in how long wud i know m successful. wne is the right time to come as in i cant know wen m ovulating. yest was my 37 th day after i got m p. i saw some little brownish discharge like bllod on teh tisse wen i went o teh loo after that i have not seen any more blood. m wondering if that is my perod and if i should start taking clomide from teh 5thday... i had all signa of periods before like breast tenderness and stomach cramps. this time i hv been having breast tenderness for amny days. u think is huld take a chance and test. i afraid as the negative result is a very disappoitning thing for em whihv i cant tolerate all teh time.

You can try seeing Dr. Malathi Rao at Manipal Northside Hospital or Main Manipal Hospital on airport road. I had PCOS and was not able to conceive for 2 yrs. I was seeing some other doc before I got to know about Dr. Malathi Rao. She told me with great confidence that only a induction would help me conceive. I was fortunate enough to conceive in the first cycle of IUI. I have a 5 month old baby girl. She will not suggest IVF until it is needed. She is quite senior doctor who has extensive experience in dealing infertility patients. She loves to take all challenging cases. So I would suggest you to see asap.

I am told that ovarian drilling is effective for around 9 months. So do not delay. Just checkout the best doc available near your area. If you have plans to come to India then see Dr. Malathi Rao at Manipal Hospital in B´ lore.

I was on Metphormin for about 2 years but it did help to an extent. I got laproscopy done for ovarian drilling. My earlier doc did the lap and I discontinued seeing her as nothing happened so went to another famous doc who induced my ovulation with some injections and did IUI. IUI costs about two thousand for one try. You just need to rest for half an hour after the release of sperms. I did not do any heavy activity for couple of days. This effort was fruitful in the very first attempt. You need to see the right doc for this issue.

Hi Happymom,
i am also a patinat of PCOS. I ahve been on Metphormin for almost a year. i also underwent a proscopy and ovarian drilling in april this year but i am unsuccessful until now. the probelm is my periods are not regular. i can get them i a span of 36 days, or 52 days or someitmes even 62 or 63 days. i live in africa. i have tried clomid last month i still hv to finsih 2 more doses but as u know i dont get my p easily. pl advice me the process o iui and how amny days did u ahve to see the dr or stay in hosp. how much does it cost in average. thanks in advance for ur help.
