but have to ask it.....

Are any of you doing anything in terms of breast care????????? ya know, to deal with parts that can get dry (really really dry, in my case)...

I wanted to ask my doc about it today, but couldn't remember to do it after all the confusion she created in my mind... :)

Hey Avi,
My Mom saw some TV program in India which recommended normal coconut oil. She told me that u can use a lil coconut oil (parachute or any other brand) massage a lil on before having bath and then have bath but don't use any soaps coz they will dry u out. The coconut oil we get is food grade so I guess there won't be any harm in using it.
Take care
M

Hi Avi,

I agree with Priya. Last friday, we had lamaz class and they also gave us Lansioh samples, but they are after baby's born. For now, cream or moisturisers will do.

I did check on the internet after reading Priya's note and it looks like cocoa butter does work and is relatively safe too and I am sure mango butter is too..

Hey ARshiya, I read somewhere that we shouldn't use creams that have too many chemicals so I wasn't sure if our regular moisturizers can be used...but yeah, close-to-natural moisturizers should also work...
Thanks...

Avi,
During my breastfeeding class, we were given samples of Lanisoh. A friend of mine who has a one yea old recommended it as a MUST item for the hospital bag. But that's after baby comes. As for now, I just use the same Cocoa butter lotion that I use on my belly. Seems to work!

Thanks Priya, I have those lanisoh samples too and also bought lanolin the other day for use like you said, after the baby is here.....and wasn't sure if we can use it now...

but looked into Cocoa butter after reading you message and apparently it can be used to help relieve dryness...
Thanks..

Diaper Service Provider,Bangalore
Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a Diaper Service Provider in Bangalore? They generally provide cloth diapers and replace them with a new set every 2-3 days.

Thanks in advance
