Name: Parvathi Hello All,

I have a query regarding vitamin dosage and timings. Please let me know what are all the vitamins you people are taking(in India or US).

Following medicines are prescribed by my doctor. I am an Lacto-Vegetarian( no eggs).

1. ShellCal(Elder Pharma) : Oyster based natural Calcium supplement--2x500mg early morning empty stomach

2. Globac-Z(Zydus-Cadilla) : Iron Suppement :-Ferrous Fumarate 150mg, B-12, Zinc and Folic Acid ( 1 capsule 1 hour before lunch time)

3. Astymin M Forte(Tablets India) : AminoAcids, Vitamins and Minerals ( like copper, magnesium, magnese etc.).. I could not take this as I was having nausea with this medicine.

4. SevenSeas SeaCod lever oil 1 capsule at night time. ( Fish oil contains DHA/EPA and Vitamin A and D I guess). Does anyone know the name of the tablet which contains DHA/EPA extracted from Algae. This compound is added in Mother Horlicks and supplement drinks also. Is anyone having a other brand on this.

5.Folvite(Wyeth) Folic Acid: 1 tablet night time.

I am in my 13 weeks now and nausea is still there.
Please share what are all the medicines you people are taking and also suggest if my dosage and brands are good.

prenatal vitamins

Hi parvathi!
i don' t know about the medicines, but here my doctor has prescribed some prenatal vitamins, which is just one tablet daily, which contains iron, calcium. folic acid, some vitamins, copper, magnesium.. etc.
but i know that all sorts of supplements are fine.. my gynac told me... to just make sure that whatever supplement i take contains folic acid....
hope someone else can help you with the brand names.
