Subject:  sleep traing

hi Swati

I too read soo many sites reagrding this sleep traning. the first point was 'let ur baby cry, dont pick her when she cries ...like that'.
I will get panic if Trisha cries even for a minute. Actually Trisha used to wake up every 2hr or 1hr once in the nite. she use to sleep around 10pm then she will wake around 3 to 4 hr gaps. thats the only session she will sleep for 4hr strech. then after 1am feeding, then she will wake up for every 2 hr or 1 hr once. i was soo mad that time.
then after starting this sleep traning, now she is sleeping thru out the nite sometimes otherwise she will wake up at 5am for her feeding.
Sleeping traning methods are im doing are,

Around 7pm i will give her coconut oil massage.then she will sit in warm water tub and play with her ducks for 10 to 15 mins. just press her legs, hands and back well while giving bath. even we sleep well if someone do for us.
then i will feed her to full stomach. veggies and fruits will digest easily in 2 to 3 hrs. so im giving her cereal mixed in formula. give her solid as much as she eats.
i use to put sleeping bag for her daily. so she knows well now that whenever i put her that dress, oooh its time to sleep. try to make him to bed within 45min to 1hr after feeding. i will switch off all the lights except dim light. in 10 to 15 mins i will nurse her and she will sleep.

i guess ur son's first session sleep will be longer for atleast 4-5hr strech. in the beggining she will wake up at 1am, that time i dont feed her instaed i will rock her for 5 to 10mins. she will sleep. she will cry for 1 or 2 mins then she will sleep. if she is really hungry then she will wake up after 30mins. then i will rock her again. she wont agree. then i will feed her. Liek this u can start delaying the feeding time. like postponing 30mins. after 1weeks definetly i can seee some change.

otherwise, i will feed at 1am then she will wake up at 3 hr for her next feeding. i wont feed till 5am.

u can just try to skip feeding. slwly u can reduce 3 feed to 3 then to 1 feeding.

now Trisha will wake up sometime at 1am but i wont feed her, iu will rock her and make her to sleep. somenight she will sleep till 5am. 5am i will feed her. im trying to cut off this 5am feeding also. but she is feelong very hungry that time.
dont put him to sleep after 6pm.
this is the way im doing for Trisha. try it out.it will take nearly a month to get 90% good result.

takecare
love to ur lil one

Breast pumps
I am using a medela pump to feed my baby when I am out. The medela breast pumps are really a good choice for the working moms. We can pump the milk regularly and can store it and use whenever needed.... - dalewhither [View Message]
evenflo elan breast pump
Buy this pump! It’s made my life so much easier. I always got sore with my old Medela Advanced, but that never happens with the Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump. What really makes a difference is its ease of use. It’s really easy to switch between pumping phases and take apart to clean. Strongly recommend it for all mothers that pump daily.... - stellatylor [View Message]

try this
As we discussed earlier in this forum I used magnetic alphabets , through which he has learnt alphabets within a week. And number within 4 days.
It is as like take the letter and stick to it where ever he goes more and ask him to search a particular letter. this worked very well for me.
all the best... - Manju [View Message]
