Hi I had finally undergone HSG test and was very painful experience i had, Its ok now 2 days since i have done feel the pain a bit. Now i have found my right tube is blocked and left is fine.

Can i still become pregnant
My doctor says leave this cycle we shall start folliclaur study next cycle :- Is that ok
Why is that iam not becomin pregnant as we have been trying since 10 months if my tube was fine. Even doc has no answer and she is suggesting to go with IUI next month. Will that be 100 sure

Please advice me what should i do.. experienced ppl show me what shd my next treatment be. My cycle is 2 of every month semi replied. You can become pregnant even with one tube opened. Usually overies are designed to take turn in each cycle. but it varies person to person too. Some people have one side of overy working more than the other side. The bottom line is that if you are developing egg at this side where your tubs are open. You can concieve a baby. But if your egg is developing the site where tubs are blocked - sperm cannot go up since tubes are blocked. The best bet is with you to do regular IUI' s with scan so that you can get to know that which side you are ovulating and if you can try in this cycle or not depending upon which side of overy is working in which cycle .

One tube is sufficient for becoming pregnant but you have to wait for some time. Even having both tubes normal, chances for becoming pregnant per cycle is just 25%. So you should consider you age. If nearing 30Yrs then its best time to consider ART else if your around 25 then you can wait for sometime. Shriya replied. Hi Dholli,

Although I am not very experienced but I feel one tube is enough to make u preg provided your left overy ovulates. Can ppl correct me if I m wrong.
IUI is not 1005 sure nd it is helpful if sperm count is low/cervis issue.
