Hi girls,

Has anyone of you experienced false pains yet.I got false pains on sunday morn.It felt like menstrual cramps.It was irregular and lasted for 1 hr.I was a bit frightened coz I hadnt even completed my 36th week, didnt want the baby coming out so soon.
Just wanted to tell u girls.

I had also experienced cramping and have been for some weeks now.The first time I had called up my doctor and she said that 5-6 times a day is Ok,if it gets more than that then I need to visit her.Nowadays I get them maybe 3-4 times a day though not everyday.Its Braxton Hicks or our body's way of preparing for real labour .

By the way did ur doctor start checking for ur cervix dilation.Mine will start from Sept 16th.
True labor is different and from what I have heard ,in true labor u can feel the pressure coming from ur back to front and I am sure the contractions will be regular and cramping much more continuous.Anyway check with ur doctor.

Hi Sumana,

Must be scary, is n't it ? But don't worry, Uterus might be preparing for actual labour. If you have the book \";What to expect when you are expecting\";, in that there are false labour symtoms and real labour symtoms. You can check that for reference. Also inform your doc if you haven't already.

As you are the first one due in this group, probably your day is approaching. You can expect any time after 37th week. So, take care and rest a lot.
