Dear Sheeja,
i cook 1 apple and use for 3 days. Actually i mix this in cereal. so that way he wil have one fruit and one veggie every day. we can't cook less than that yar otherwise we won't be able to mash it. he gets constipated with apple and also carrots.

i give 2-3 tb spoon cereal and little friuts and mix in formula in the morning.
he doesn't eat more than this yar.
its depend on apetite ...so don't worry ...if she likes then give her or u can ask her ped:)

hey im from Rajasthan:)

krish is crying yar..
will write more

Hi,

This is what i give for laya...

1/2 apple in morning around 10...and 1/4 thapple mixed in rice aroun 2.and 1/4 apple in vening around 5.30..

For apple...I give laya 1/2 and I peel the skin and put it in water and boil it...boil it till nice flavor comes and it becomes really soft..then take it out and mash it...and feed her..

For rice..whatever is cooked for us, i take a spoon or two and add some more water to it..and boil it in a low flame till it is soft...ileave little water in it and mash t using a wooden thing...used for mashing dals...and mash it to a paste and mix apple in it...

I also give grapes 1 or 2...skin peled n mashed..
next week am plannign to give carrots to her..

Anitha

Hi Sheeja,
Yep..i started homemade food.
i don't give gerber food at home. when we go out then i give him gerber.
i mix apple in the cereal and he loves that. what u have to do boil in pressur cooker an dgrin it with blender. this colour is really different than gerber applesauce.
i m thinking to give him peach, pear ...mix with cereal.

at evening i give him veggeie...u can make all at home like apple.

i m thinking to start khichdi...i tell u how to make it.
take rice and moong dal ..cook in pressure cooker with some salt and tumeric powder and water. then u can grind it and add some sugar and ghee.

roast suzi(rawa) in little ghee and in india people use milk but i think we can add formula..and sugar.its kind of kheer:)

u can give dal rice.

take some roasted cracked wheat and moong dal and put some salt water and cook in pressure cooker. then grind it.

right now i know these things yar..when i would i know more i let u know:)

u know i tried gerber apple juice but he didn't like it.Krish does backward crawling but he sits on the floor by putting hands on the floor.
today i m going to cook sweet potato for evening and dal rice for night. let see how it works.

how is trisha?
bye..

hi sweety

thx for ur receipes. i was thinking of steaming appple from a long back, but commerical foods are convenient to use. so i didnt.
letme try apple first.

i have a doubt, how much quantity r u giving?? like 1/2 apple or whole apple??

my other doubt is, how much cereal r u giving?? like 5tablespoons(without adding milk) or less thn that. im giving 2tbs apple cereal, 2tbs banana cereal,1 tbs oatmeal at a time in night. she loves to eat like this combination instaed of same cereal.

what my concern is, am i over feeding her and its the right quantity for her tummy???

hey, from which part of India u r from??? u r receipes are different.

actually im from Tamilnadu, we first start with dal rice then idly mashed in milk like that.

one receipe my mom use to do is, fry rice, moong dal, whole moong dal, wheat. grind very finely with dalia split. this powder is called health mix powder. when we want we just want to boil in hot water for 2 to 3 mins and add sugar or salt and serve mild warm to baby.

nice to hear that Krish is crawling backwards, Trish is just trying to move.when she wants any of her toys which is in front of her...shez just trying to move inch by inch. nice to see those things. but whenver i bring camcorder to tape that, she stops doing that and giving pose to camera.

ok then takecare
love to Krish

Breast pumps
I am using a medela pump to feed my baby when I am out. The medela breast pumps are really a good choice for the working moms. We can pump the milk regularly and can store it and use whenever needed.... - dalewhither [View Message]
evenflo elan breast pump
Buy this pump! It’s made my life so much easier. I always got sore with my old Medela Advanced, but that never happens with the Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump. What really makes a difference is its ease of use. It’s really easy to switch between pumping phases and take apart to clean. Strongly recommend it for all mothers that pump daily.... - stellatylor [View Message]

try this
As we discussed earlier in this forum I used magnetic alphabets , through which he has learnt alphabets within a week. And number within 4 days.
It is as like take the letter and stick to it where ever he goes more and ask him to search a particular letter. this worked very well for me.
all the best... - Manju [View Message]
