I am curious... did you or do you have a preference for a boy or a girl?

Before knowing she was a girl, my preference had been fluctuating. Finally wasn't sure what I wanted.

I also wish to have a girl.I also feel she will be more close to me and as arshiya said,girls look so cute.But I am not getting any vibes as whether I am carrying a girl or a boy.Sometimes I feel it is a girl ,sometimes a boy.So I am terribly confused. Vandana replied. These days I often get pretty impatient to find out the sex of the baby! We both want a girl, my hubby more than me. :-) But all the vibes, feelings, instincts I've been getting right since the beginning of this pregnancy tell me its a boy.. so lets see what fate holds for us. I feel I will be more closer to a girl than a boy , maybe cos I have always been very close to my Mom... but then again, I guess Moms are close to all their kids, right?
Sometimes I feel very guilty for having such a preference, my baby must be feeling my thoughts.. if he's a boy hope he will know that Mom n Dad will love him just as much.

Avi replied. Hey Vindhya, although I had a feeling that it was a boy in there from the very beginning and so was expecting to have one.. Hubby and I were hoping it was a girl...
Like Arshiya said, I loved the idea of dressing her up and getting to be her friend...

My hubby's family was really really really hoping it was girl cause its all boys in their family too.. and were quite disappointed when we told them it was boy...

I, however, now think that I am more of a playing in dirt kind of a person and would be better off with a boy...he can be a perfect \";mama's boy\";.. and I smiled as soon as the techinician showed us the proof that he was a boy...and kept smiling all the way home and couldn't stop smiling for a while after that.... :)

Arshiya replied. For me and my husband both, we prefer having a girl. But, let's see what god has for us in our plate.
I would like a girl so I can dress her up very nice and cute. There are tons of choices out there in the stores for girls clothes and items than boys. I would want our first child to be girl so I can have all these fun with her and be a good friend for her. Maybe with the second one, I will be more busy and will hardly have time to do all these extra things.
My husband/his family want a girl since they don't have any in their family at all. They are all boys.
Let's see what happens.
