Due Date Club January 2007:Vaginal Discharge
2006-08-17
Name: Kalyan

Hi Archie et al,

My wife is in her 20th week now. Everything has progressed quite well till now. However, 3-4 weeks back she had a white vaginal discharge. I believe thats also quite common.
Last week we had to travel to our hometown by train. After the travel days, she had the vaginal discharge.
Is this normal or is there anything to worry about. There was some vibrations while the train journey was on. How safe is it to travel by train. Or is air travel much better.

Please let me know

Regards,
Kalyan

Kalyan,
We would appreciate \";not sad icon\"; for routine queries. Sad icon means some real bad happenings or expected mishap.

vaginal discharge is absolutely normal. She will get it everytime she has physical stress, tired and may be from dehydration as well. It may increase in future weeks of gestation and as long as you get it varified from her Dr. it's fine.

you can travel by train as late as until 36 weeks, won't suggest either train or air journey thereafter. If it's short by air and not hassels for you to arrange choose air travel over train. Otherwise second class AC should be fair for her.
