For me APPRECIATION is the key word ..It gets me going and helps me to do better too..Sid appreciates my efforts by smiling hugging n kissing(and most of sleeping well)..Sri, my hubby always has few words of encouragement and also tries his best to share Sid's works..He is a very understanding person n helps me a lot..I cook daily , every morning we have cereals or bread omlette or dosas..I make lunch and dinner in the morning itself-one curry n dal/rasam.Weekends, my hubby takes over the kitchen or we cook together, hehehe !! Evenings i make snacks too like dosa,maggi noodles, upma etc etc.So far i have never asked him to get anything from outside or skipped cooking, its a daily routine..We shop only on weekends..So we get groceries together.(moreover i can't drive)..Sid sleeps for atleast an hr in the afternoon after he has his cereals, so i go to bath and finish off the kitchen work at that time..Once hubby is home, i never enter the kitchen.We go for a small walk to the park or watch TV together..Sid drinks his bottle by 8:30pm and we have dinner at 9..He is not a very fussy baby..he has started playing by himself , but makes sure i m around..So i put him on the kitchen ground and finish my cooking work..Laundry and cleaning the house has been made very simple here(washing m/c inside the house and vaccuming once a week)..
My hubby never complains if the food is not very tasty but always asks me-how do manage with Sid.He takes him out sometimes and i get some time for myself, but when sid n sri are out or i go out w/o them i feel bored..Sri also takes care of sid in the morning and sees that i get an extra hr of sleep..Sid wakes up at 6:30am and till 7:15 father n son play and the sri rushes to office at 8..So its fun and chal raha hai ..MIL helped me first 3 months and then we came to US..It was tough for me becos we had to arrange the house and we were alone with Sid for first time.Also hubby was so busy for 2 months that i didnot get much help from him either but somehow i managed patiently and now things are going on very smoothly for us.Moreover just 5 working days na, dekhte hi dekhthe Friday aa jatha hai...Time just flies !!
I m planning to learn driving too..Ek baar license mil jaye then things will be much better..

When I read your message you sounded like me...Appreciation gas to keep me moving in daily life!
Here they have made daily housework simple with dishwasher..washing machine with dryer(wish they invent cloth folding machine too!!).. carpetfloor.. etc. I think since we are away from the family husbands are very cooperative here. Even my husband helps me in everything that he could. In addition to his office work he helps me taking care of the kids...bathing them...changing diapers...putting them to sleep... with out any complaints. He doesn't like to see me unhappy. On weekends he helps me in the kitchen if i need... sometimes he makes fried rice /veg rice/chutney for dosa/idly...etc. sometimes weekend afternoons he takes care of the kids so that I can go for shopping/watch movie/take rest... But anyway I love to spend time as a family. Only on Friday evenings we go out for dinner for a change, other times i cook at home everyday. When we go to parties the whole time he takes care of Rajju and let me spend time with the friends. I just wait for the weekends....Many times I feel that am very lucky to have such understanding and cooperative hubby..otherwise I wldn't have managed on my own.

Wow! YOu are so lucky to have a nice hubby...i think i have to make my husband read this message of yours;)..waise he is very supportive too..but phir bhi weekend pe he finds it boring even to cook once ...he prefers taking me out to dinner:).
You are right, get your driving license soon..it's like a license to freedom:)

Aur how is Sids darling...ajkal kya new development ?
