i too have a 6 months old baby, my baby gets up in the morning around 8 or 9am then she takes a feed and plays for little time, again she has a nap for 1hr. then i feed of Cerl. or biscuits and give her a bath around 11 am and she goes to sleep for 2 hrs or more and then again she sleeps again around 5pm for an 1hr or 2. then she again goes to sleep around 10 to 10:30 pm and i give her milk in the sleep around 2am (night). Please follow this timings every day.

Trying to make your baby stay awake during 7 is a tough job. But at that age I came to understand that we have tough time to change the scedule just for couple of days. But they can easily get used to the new schedule. You can try taking out for a walk to crowded places, like a mall or a store where she can look at people.
I too had the same problem, but things are OK now.
Good luck

I think that u should try to stop her from going to sleep at 7pm .i think u hav to change her feeding n sleeping schedule. u didnt write as u what time she gets up after she goes to sleep at 4am.my son Ritaj is also a very light sleeper.first i had allowed him to sleep in the daytime resulting in his lying awake for long hours in the night to play. now he goes to sleep in the night by 10.30 pm.though he gets up frequently in the night for feeds but he goes to sleep right after his fill.plz dont allow her to sleep for long hours in the daytime. i am sure u can play with her n keep her amused so that she dosent go to sleep in the day.or dont let her sleep for long n definately stop the 7pm nap.i hope this helps.

Sleep Problem due to itchy skin
My baby girl is unable to sleep properly due to skin rashes. I have resumed oil massages to help calm her down and facilitate better sleep, using CITTA Baby Massage Oil. Additionally, I am applying the ointment recommended by her doctor for the rashes. Could you please provide me with more ideas that can promote better sleep for her?... - Sanchari Tarafdar [View Message]

RE:How to Develop a Sleep Routine for your Newborn
According to me this is good but then you cannot force your child to sleep as per your wish as kids as really bad in this and they have a tendency to sleep in day and get up in late night so according to me this is not the key to success, please post if i am wrong.... - Anita [View Message]
