Hi Girls
I havent been very active since few dys.
My parents came last Monday. Things were going fine till Friday. I had my doc appt and my BP was on borderline high. I had develped swelling suddenly since 2 dys and an alarming 7 pound gain in a week. Doc was very upset and I had u/s babies were doing great but my BP need to come down. So I was hospitalised on Fri and discharged on Sat. I was scared to death thinking that they might deliver if my BP didnt go down. Fortunately it did. Consoling thing in this whole drama is that babies are doing great and very active and still having lots of room to move. I will complete 35 weeks this Friday.
At home now, I have to be on rest. I limit myself to bedroom and restroom these dys. And I have to eat a no salt diet. Since Sat I have been following this and woooh voila my swelling is totally gone, I lost 5-6 pounds that I gained coz of the water retention and the no salt diet also cured my acidity and vomitting. I feel my BP wud have gone down too, but have to wait till I meet the doc this Sat.
Things are going on fine now and under control. But I was really scared. My husband was totally supportive. He is up all night watching me. My parents are totally stunned by the way he is taking care of me. I am very lucky.
I feel bad to trouble my parents and husband like this by being in bed all day. But jus few more weeks. Mom jus came last week and is managing everything herself now at home.
For Girls in the US, dont worry the hospitals and nurses are excellent. They take utmost care and u r in safest hands. I was dead scared of hospital, one day of my stay there has prepared me mentally for the labor. I hugged my nurse and cried when I left, she took such nice care of me.
I am kind of bold and ready to face the BIG DAY.
Best wishes to u all too..
Note: Yes we r having twin girls acc to the u/s.
I liked the names Nisha and Neha. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks..

The twin pregnancy is a hi risk one so there isn't much in your hands.Just stay calm&be cheerful.Great your parents r down&i guess we r lucky to have our hubs help.My hub gives me massages constantly as iam getting backaches&the leg cramps make me almost cry.
The good sign is you have made it so far so as Anu mention just another 2 wks.Nisha&Neha r sweet names simple&short just as your hub wanted.
Gluck&keep as posted.

Suni replied. Hi Bar,
I am so glad to hear you are doing better, put your feet up, stay away from salt and follow the doctors orders' to a T. Your daughters will do just fine, and you will have a healthy delivery. Moms and husbands are such a blessing during these times and I am so happy that you have all the support you need. Take lots of care. When I did not see your messages for awhile I thought you were having a wonderful time with your mom and hence keeping busy. Stay positive and all of us are going to pray and wish for everything to go smoothly for you. You are already 35 weeks, and I have heard that when you are carrying twins, anything around 35+ is considered full term. I am sure your doctors are giving you the best possible care. Keep your BP low and take all the pampering.

Radhika replied. Hi bargavi
Glad u are feeling better, labour weekend was full of work and tension for u..anyway atleast u have help around which makes things easier. It is defintely difficult to carry twins during this stage so can understand the water retention, glad u are fine. Hope u liking r diet without salt..that is difficult.
Anyway u have just 5 more weeks to go..and congratulations..two little girls ,are they identical? Love the names chosen..I am not fond of rhyming names even if twins or sisters..they sound cute for parents but don't think kids like it.
I feel like having a u/s don't want to know what the kid is yet if boy/girl..but just feel like checking if its ok..there. longer time for me with 7 weeks still left. People at work more impatient than me, all here made a list of when they all think i will deliver and which sex..i am according to most of them due anywhere earlier a week , one wants kid to come on halloween..lets see..girl/boy opinion is still 50%, some say carrying high so girl, some look at ultrasound pics and see the long legs and feel its a boy..i am feeling more secure being pregnant, eating, feeding, sleeping, day care in one, after the baby comes, i am sure i will have lots to think about ,so hurry to see baby, not in a hurry to deliver..enjoy the sleep for the few weeks and take rest..and thinking of u , u will have u hands full literally..:).
I do wish u all the best and hope for a normal delivery so u can get on ur feet faster. I am sure u will be fine.
Are u on maternity leave already? I hope so ..Take care and hi to neha & nisha too. Hope ur parents enjoying stay here too..must be just excited seeing u and being pregnant an added joy.enjoy being with them and take care..
