Do you wear a helmet? Does somebody in your family ride a bike without wearing a helmet? Should the person sitting behind also wear a helmet?

I think even people sitting behind should wear helmets. Pillion passengers must take care too. If you see anything going wrong with the traffic you can call Mumbai traffic police on 3040 3040. You can even sms on 3040. In case of accidents too this number can be called. I think the traffic police has really got down the number of drunk drivers in Mumbai. Now they should concentrate on wearing helmets and talking on mobile phones while riding a bike. I guess even kids who ride bicycles must wear helmets. Don' t we see cricketers wearing helmets while playing? If they were without it they would end up in major injuries. Engineers, workers, and different industry workers wear helmets to protect themselves. If you are buying a bike then buy a helmet along with it and don' t forget to wear it. You will look COOOL!!!!!!!

I know how accidents happen. My neighbour' s son died in a very fatal bike accident. He was just having a spin with his friends at night. They were racing on a high speed. When his parents met the doctors, they came to know that had he worn a helmet he would have been alive. The injuries were mostly in the skull. He died a sad death. Since then my brother has changed his attitude towards wearing helmets and even car seat belts. He never ignores the car seat belts too. He totally believes in safety while driving. At least it can minimize the dangerous to a large extent. We are riding on the roads and its not a joke. It is a machine and anything could go wrong so why take a chance. I remember that adage, \" prevention is better than cure\" . So guys please wear helmet and be safe. Don' t take stupid risks.

I guess I just realised what I have been avoiding. It may seem very challenging to me but for my family it is a risk. Losing my life may seem like a thrill but I will hurt my parents. They have shown tremendous confidence in me by handing over the bike keys to me and I think it is my turn to show some responsibility. I think the least I can do is wear a helmet. I will surely go and look out for a good fit and even tell my friends not to out wit the traffic police by wearing helmets when we spot them at the signal. I think everyone wants to keep us safe and secure. Bike accidents can be bad. And I think one big step to prevent that is to start wearing a helmet. My friends won’t believe this change in me. I know there will be a lot of poking fun. But I guess my family matters to me. I will wear a helmet for them if not myself.
