Hi all,...
howz all the moms and babies r doing?...sorry for not being regular on this msg board...I am currently in ahmedabad visting my in laws. This place is terribly warm as compared to Pune and both me and aadi r having adjustement problems. Though I keep him in AC as much as possible, i am worried that he should not be dehydrated. I am feeding him quiet frequently and thatswhy hv to give top feed at least twice a day. First let me know whether that is ok? also, any other way to fight this hot weather?
secondly, I know it is a lil late in the day, but aadi being the youngest in this group, is going through this \" starting of solids\" phase now. during his 4 months visit (he is 4.5 mnths now), his doc advised against starting solids before 6 months. Now i m confused as well as worried because everybody in this msg board and also otherwise in my frnd circle hv started giving solids after 4 months. I alsp fel that at this growing phase he will require more nutrition than what just the mik can provide. Also, as aadi is a lil low on weight (he is not chubby kinds but otherwise very active and tall for his age), I want to start supplements. Do u think it is ok? what should i start with? Poonam, u said u give rishon fruits. can u share how u make fruits puree and wht quantity u give to him? today i tried giving moong dal water, but he refused to take it. Can i give rice water or coconut water to him?
this week i am going to start giving him supplements other than milk...so frnds pls give me ur advise and suggestions...and also reciepes to make all those purees and all.

Hi Rupali,
Sorry for delay..well you can take one elachi banana(elachi banana doesnt causes cold)grind it in mixer like paste & give.About apple either u boil or no..cut into pcs grind it in mixer add boild water in mixer itself & serve ur baby.Any new food u try ..try it in mid morning so u can come to know if aadi is allergic to something & remember 1 Iteam for atleast 3 days then only try another.
