Hi everyone,

Hopefully everyone is doing good!!

I am in 9th week and will have 3rd ultrasound next week because my doctor said my uterus is facing backward. Also the week after she has asked me to go for Integrated prenatal screening (test to find out lower or higher chance of having a baby with down syndrome, trisomy 18 or neural tube defect). I was wondering if anyone of you have backward uterus and/or have thought about going for prenatal screening?

Please advice me asap b'coz I have to make decision soon.

i am in 13th week. doctor said that they would be taking blood test AFP to check for any birth defects during my next visit ie around 17th week.

Hi nidhi, when i had my first doc appointment during my 6th week , the doc told me that i have a backward uterus and when i asked her if it is harmful she said it is something like people having blue eyes which is common and we need not worry about that.she also told me that 99% at the end of your first trimester the uterus might automatically turn upwards.But i did not undergo any of the tests you mentioned.

thats intresting, preenatal screenig. no i havent had it yet, my appointmnet is only this weekend , so i can tell you only later. but iam sure its for the good of the baby. also, my doctor has not told me of backward uterus, so i assume i dont have tht, anyway dont worry, iam sure, the doctors can take care of that. '
