We went to Sears yesterday and this one looked good... I didn't buy it only because I wanted to run it by you guys first (what would I do without you highly knowledgable young ladies).. do let me know what you think..
Also, it says ..this can be used starting from 5 pound babies till they are 20 pounds.. 20 pounds doesn't seem like much.. and the sales person there had no idea how old a child would be approximately, if he/she were 20 pounds heavy..

Vindhya replied. Girls,
I was wondering if anyone is ordering the car seats online?
We are buying a separate stroller ( most probably a Maclaren which goes from newborn upto 40lbs). The travel systems are too bulky for me,as I am a small person.
Hope that helps

Arshiya replied. Hey,
I just checked the ratings for Eddie Bauer brands in Baby Bargains, and it says it's made by \";Cosco\";, so same as cosco but more prize. Cosco's safety track record is not good.
Car seats: Rating C: The seats handle unexpectedly released in some cases, causing the seat to flip forward and dump out the child. 29 childrens were injured due to this defect.
Strollers: Rating C-: Most parents are suckered into buying one of these models by the Eddie Bauer name, which they think indicates good quality. After three months, suddenly, parents aren't so enamored. Strollers that breaks after only a few months of use, canopies that snap off and other quality woes. And there are safety concerns; Cosco has suffered through several safety recalls in recent years. Strollers folding mechanism broke during use, causing the strollers to suddenly collapse. Cosco received 250 reports of the strollers collapsing, causing voer 200 injuries.
Hope this helps.

Arshiya replied. Hey Avi,
This one really looks good. I have almost similar one too. But, check again for the weight of this, I think it's 45 lbs. (doesn't seem like, it's a lot). But, when you go under \";Product Specs\"; it shows the weight of it. Is it a real weight or is it a mistake?
I think 20 lbs baby would be around 8-10 months. And, I guess this 20 lbs. applies to carseat not stroller. Stroller would carry more weight, atleast upto 40 lbs. This is what we bought:

Vindhya, I am not a big fan of buying too many things online.... I need to touch and feel before I get anything.. I am one of those people.. :)
that's why I wasn't able to buy the diaper bag either..

Priya, what you selected looks cute too..
It sure is hard to choose one from so many options that are available..and making sure they are safe..
I was wondering whether or not I would be able to carry a heavy travel system around too... I will need to make sure I can before I buy one..
Thank you..

Ya,
I think it's a mistake they suggested 45 lbs, it can't be. Ya, I bought the carseat and stroller separately since they didn't sell this color in the travel system but they had same prize even if you bought it separately. Babysrus had different patterns for this same brand in light blue, black and green but when I checked this Graco website I liked this one in Navy blue a lot. So, I searched for it and Burlington Coat Fact has them but they sell it in two different boxes, which didn't matter to me since the prize came out the same.
So, try that if you are gonna go for it.

Hey Arshiya, I did carry it yesterday and it did not feel like it was 45 pounds at all... that would have been quite heavy for me to carry..I will recheck..
I will also have to make sure the 20 pound limit applies to the car seat only..
I looked at the stroller you have chosen, I like it a lot too...did you buy the car seat (Graco SnugRide) and stroller seperately..

Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a Diaper Service Provider in Bangalore? They generally provide cloth diapers and replace them with a new set every 2-3 days.
