Infertility Solutions:Low sperm count, no motile sperms
2008-03-01
Name: Dipika

Hi Everybody,

A very good day to u. I am an Indian, resident of mumbai, but presently working abroad

I have a big problem and i am very depperesed.

I have been married for 1year 9 months, and we have been trying for a baby for almost for a year without any sucess. We then decided to
consult a doctor.

Since my husband has only one testicle, the doctor adviced us to do the semen analysis. The reports for the same came out to be very poor. The reports reveal that the sperm count is very low and no motile sperms were seen

Please advice me the chances of me conceiving. And what is the treatment for this
situation. I am really very much worried and depereesed.

Could u also advise me the treatment that we wil have to undergo for this and
the estimated cost. And what are the chances of sucess of the treatment.

Regards

Dipika

hi

Married 5 years. My husband suffers from Azoospermia. We went to several doctors with no results.

3 months ago we went to an Ayurveda Dr in Colombo, Sri Lanka and there is obvious improvement. She gave my husband medicine and instructions for a special diet.

We still don’t have a baby because he needs to increase his sperm count further, but from ZERO to 7.9 ML is a HUGE change.

Pls. go for ayueveda medicine

Dipika thanks a lot for the wishes .As said by prad the treatment is around 1 lakh but it depends on the doctor & the hospital u r visiting .Quickly find some good infertility specialist in ur city & all the best to u .Be very happy & positive that is mandatory to overcome any problem.the sucess chance is around 40%.

My prob was similar to your husbands & now we are the proud parents. We underwent treatment from Dr Raman Patel, Ahmedabad (mayflowerhospital). One thing I would say - he has hands of god... Regarding total cost - I spent around 1 lac in total (including everything).

hi dipika
i have never enquired with Dr Parekh on icsi though i have heard about her.
Dr Hinduja' s refernce was given by my cousin who know her as he deals with medical equipments.so i dont know whether a discount was offered by them, but the difference cant be so substantial.i think u should enquire with Dr Hinduja as well.

i too had zero motile sperms, improved to about 20% after taking medicines for about a year.but u need atleast 50%motility. icsi offers help in that the doctor picks up one single good sperm to inject into the egg and fertilize it unlike ivf where the sperm has to on its own, fertize the egg.thus ivf may not be fruitful for male infertility with low sperm count and motility.but it is necessary that you have a good embryologist with experience to do it.

it costed u about Rs 75000.we were lucky that icsi was successful in the first attempt.but it quite painful for the woman since she has to take injections everday to stimulate the ovaries prior to icsi and hormonal injections after the procedure. It is real irony that my wife had to go thru the trauma though the problem lied at my end, but it has been worth the pain.

Await ur advice.

i too had a problem of low sperm motilty. tried various medicines like speman, addyzoa, coq 10 , but nothing worked.your hubby can however take these medicines for 3 months and see the effect. it can work on some people.we ultimately went for icsi with Dr Indira Hinduja( charni road) and by god' s grace my wife is now pregnant. dont lose hope.
