Hi Sonu,

I know it' s tough, but first of all, don' t worry. The more you worry, the harder things will be. Secondly, I do not agree that chances of an episiotomy are almost 100% unless you do C-section. There are HUNDREDS of birth videos posted on google videos (just search) and MANY of these women have given birth absolutely naturally, some even for the first time. They did not tear or need any meds. Maybe ur husband can help u with a vaginal massage, practice deep breathing during false labor and contractions, learn about hip movements, etc. BEST OF LUCK!!!

Well, unless you have a C-section, the chances of Episiotomy are almost 100%. It is better to have an episiotomy than to tear naturally as this may be more difficult to stitch & take longer to heal. Episiotomy consists of planned cuts to enable easier delivery. It won' t be painful, because they will give you local anasthesia before cutting or stitching.

Relax. All these pains and everything is only during the time of the delivery and will only last for short durations. If you are scared of pain, then maybe you should sign up for an epidural, because labour pains are much stronger than episiotomy. This is more true if you have induced labour.

hello editor,
hypertension is high blood pressure, normal blood pressure level is 140/90 but if blood pressure is more than that then its not good for pregnancy, so try to keep your blood pressure under control.... - bhavika [View Message]
