Hi,
My baby boy is 7 months old .I am faced with a big problem-from the past week onwards he has started crying in sleep and that happens everytime he stars waking (every 2 hours or so).He closes his eyes shut and screams loudly. What can the reason be.Sometimes he cries even if he is not hungry. This has become a problem for me and my husband.I dont want to pick him up each time and rock him backto sleep as this may form a habit. He sleeps with us.I dodnt know what is the trouble. Please someone help me.

Hi, I don't want to scare you or worry you , but the reason your child may do this is because of an earache... usually laying down may make an ear infection worse. You should tell the pediatrician.

Hi Rekha ,

Sorry being late for giving you mail . With two little angels , i could not understant how the time has been passing by . I am based in mumbai , but we belong to calcutta . ANNI and RINI are now 1 yrs old . Now they are running here and there . Some time very diifficult to manage them . If you are non-veggi , why not you try non-veg soup , like chicken or mutton soup .it gives him diff taste . you can initially start once or twice in a week in afternoon . Veg-soup soup also good option . No more today . keep in touch .bye , take care .

Hi Tanusree,
Glad to see your mail.Hope Anni and Rini are fine.Where are you staying(in India or abroad)I am in Saudi Arabia with and have been here for the past six years.I have 2 children, both boys-the elder one Atul(ACHU)is 10 yrs old and Nikhil(Appu)is just 7 monthsAchu is a great help in looking after my baby. Here in Saudi we get plenty of variety in baby food like fruit pulps and baby biscuits etc. But I try to add as much home made stuff as possible.Iam thinking of introducing eggs(yolk).I have started giving him yogurt and he loves it.I sometimes feel that 24hrs are not enough-so you may be needing 48!Do keep in touch .It feels good.
love Rekha

Hi Sarab,
My baby is better now.He sleeps comparatively bettr nowadays.I give a solid food before bed time and that keeps him asllep for quite some time.Early in the morning around 7 i give him a bottle feed as breast milk alone doesnt seem sufficient for him.
Where are you from and what is your baby's name .?Are you a working mom?And is this your first child?

RE:How to Develop a Sleep Routine for your Newborn
According to me this is good but then you cannot force your child to sleep as per your wish as kids as really bad in this and they have a tendency to sleep in day and get up in late night so according to me this is not the key to success, please post if i am wrong.... - Anita [View Message]
