Hi Arti
I started Dylan on Rice cereal first it is best to start baby on single grain cereal because it is easy to digest and less heavy on their stomach for the first feedings . I actually wanted to start Dylan with organic cereal which was called earths best but i noticed it came in wholegrain rice cereal and also that the iron and vitb content in the organic was much less then that in gerber or beechnut also the organic brand has less variety for first foods and was more in cost cost is not imp but i felt that gerber and beech nut was more better in terms of iorn content as now baby need iron in the diet and cereal shoul be iron rich.Gerber is best thats what i went for. If you are in US i recommend gerber rice cereal i started which i tablespoon if rice cereal to 5 tablespoons milk and gave it by spoon feeding.DO NOT give in bottle as baby can choke.
I biougt rubber tip spoon and rubber bowl from babies r us the brand is called sassy and it is really nice and colourful the spoon is curved so it is easy to hold and mmy baby loves to chew as i think he maybe teething.
This is a long email it has been a long time since i have answered any queries
Dylan also had redness and cradle cap ion his scalp they call it eczema the dr have us bractobran cream to oput ion the areas which is nonsteroidal. Dylan used to have a bath everyday and i used johnson head to toe but now i am limiting due to dryness and also the dr said babr oil was not a good moisturizer for skin as oil only satys in sking for 5-10 mins and is washed away after bath she adviced us to use eucerine and to layer a good amount on the skin this is what i amusing for massaging :)
Let me know on Arjuns update it would be nice to see some pics of hime :)
Love to lil one

Thanks Priya for all the useful information. I will post Arjun's update along with pictures soon. It would have been great if India Parenting allowed to have a shared photospace along with message boards. Anyways... I'll see where I can post his pictures.
Hey, did you also buy a high chair? Which one would you recommend? I got lots of recommendation for Fisher price aquarion ones but when I looked at it I saw that it doesn't have padding all the way so am kind of getting skeptical in buying that. Any suggestions?

Breast pumps
I am using a medela pump to feed my baby when I am out. The medela breast pumps are really a good choice for the working moms. We can pump the milk regularly and can store it and use whenever needed.... - dalewhither [View Message]
evenflo elan breast pump
Buy this pump! It’s made my life so much easier. I always got sore with my old Medela Advanced, but that never happens with the Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump. What really makes a difference is its ease of use. It’s really easy to switch between pumping phases and take apart to clean. Strongly recommend it for all mothers that pump daily.... - stellatylor [View Message]

try this
As we discussed earlier in this forum I used magnetic alphabets , through which he has learnt alphabets within a week. And number within 4 days.
It is as like take the letter and stick to it where ever he goes more and ask him to search a particular letter. this worked very well for me.
all the best... - Manju [View Message]
