Hi
I am NOv board,and i am also daignosed with High cholestroln and triglycerides.I was also wondering whether this was sthing to do with preand post pregnancy related bcs of lack of exercise and eating Habits,Also Hypertension from my father's side could have added to that
cholestrol -229(ideal<200)
Triglycerides-278(ideal <150)
No thyroid problem got it tested too.
Doc has told to exercise and contril food intake to reduce the levels,after 3 months have to get it tested else have to take medication.
i am obese too with 5'2 height.
Maurni-read that u are a physical instructor coul give give some ideas on hoe to start?
my baby is 7months old now,so evevn more tired as she is crawling so just no time to do solid exercise.i have started ncontrolling rice,sweets intake so just don't knoe how this would help without exercising.when do u find time to do exercises though vrisa is smaller to Yashvita(sorry for asking u so many Questions!!!)
Just not finding time fror myself!!!Or maybe not managing time atall,
Tweetie-my dad suggested having 2 garlic pds on empty stomach after brushing teeth helps
also having kutccha dhania(cilantro leaves)also helps
i know its's hard so i statrd putting more dhania powder and cilantro leaves in cooking
Any other tips let me know please??

I am not yet sure either way whether cholesterol is preg related...my mom has high cholesterol, but that was in her late 40's, and my dad is still fine...can't think of any other family members with early cholesterol probs.
I'm planning to consume more fiber foods like oats, carrots,apple...use olive oil, limit NVeg to chicken and fish, and reduce fried foods. Walnuts and Almonds are good to increase the good cholesterol which will reduce the rick of heart disease. Exercising is a big Q...hopefully plan to walk more.

Sorry to hear of your health issues quite mutual to mine. Before I say anything about the work outs, please note that I used to be an instructor. I am not anymore, so any information I share here is purely from my own experience. I am sure the lack of activity was a major cause for my high cholestrol. I had pregnancy-induced hypertension during my last trimester and for a month post partum. In my case, after I got the green light from my doc, I joined a local aommunity postnatal excercise class. In this class, we did an hour of very low impact excercises and then did 15 minutes of infant stimulation which involved baby massage and working out with your baby. This helped me get into the mode of excercise and also enjoyed my time with Vrisa. I was also walking 30 minuted twice a day with Vrisa which was nice. I manage to get my workouts in while Vrisa naps. I have been fortunate enough where my hubby is very supportive and if I have had days where I haven't been able to clean the house or cook dinner, he is very understanding.
As far as my diet, I eat lots more fiber, drink lots of water and eat more frequent meals during the dat as I used to when I was pregnant. Hope this info helps. If you want to chat more, please feel free to e-mail me at maurni30atyahoodotcom. Lots of love to you and Yashvita ( love the name! )

hi all
