Hi everyone again bothering everyone on the same issue of feeding... I tried 2 hours gap and feed her 2 oz... but that is not working... specially at night when i feel too sleepy ... and she also doesnt take 2 oz every 2 hours... again I switch back to 3 oz every 3 to 4 hours... but she is doing the same thing having 2 oz and leaving it... and after 4 hours also if i try to give her she takes only 2 oz..
I tried keeping her hungry for 5 hours and try ... still she doesnt take milk properly max to max she will take 2.5 to 3 oz... I reheat the milk atleast twice for her as she doesnt like cold milk. still. As I told you before that after 2 oz if i try to make her in lying position also she starts crying...... I am very much worried about feeding part.

Please share what pattern you all mentain for feeding... What about night times .???? Please suggest ?

Thanks in Advance

hello Sangeeta,
I think you should not worry if baby is gaining weight properly. Sai is doing same...he used to take 4 oz before and sometime 5 ozs too and now her takes 3 ozs most of the time. He is on breast milk...when he wastes 1 oz of milk it kills me:(...but can' t help it...my doctor said don' t overfeed him and don' t underfeed him..whatever he wants give him that...so I m giving him as much as he wants and he is good in weight and height:)
Love to the baby

Hi everyone

Thanks for your response.

Sorry for delay in reply..

Her birth weight was 3.5 kg and now bye 3rd month i.e, 19th aug she is 5.32 on monthly base she is gained 300 t0 400 grms. She is fully on bottle milk. I give her Simalac advance.

As per doc her weight is ok not to worry .. but I am always worried with her feeding. I heared 3 months baby should have 4 oz of milk ... anyway she use to take 4 oz every 3 -4 hours suddenly he came down to 2 max to max 3 oz...

Thanks a lot for sharing all ideas will try to follow and see if this can help me.

thans once again

Did u contact ur doctor about feeding.A weight check will give u an idea of how ur baby is doing.if she is not uncomfortable and her weight is gaining then its ok.is it 2 ounces of breast milk or formula.formula tends to be more heavier than breast milk.my son cannot accept more than 2 ounces of formula which he keeps drinking for one hour.Breast milk also i find 3 ounces is an ok amount for him.But mostly iam breastfeeding him,so no idea how much he drinks. Also once ur baby has crossed 12 pounds u dont have to wake her up in middle of night. She will cry when she is hungry and we have to get her used to the day night shift change.Just like we have fluctuating appetites, babies also have that.

Hi Sangeeta,

I agree, if she is gaining weight and is not showing any signs of discomfort, it should be ok. Have you spoken to her doc yet?

I am BF,and I give only one feed at night as in...I feed at 11:30 PM, then give him at 4 AM, and then at 8 AM when he wakes up. He is doing perfectly fine with this schedule as it allows both him and me to complete our sleep.

I suggest always give her demand feeding. Never disturb her in her sleep. that will make her more fussy. And do speak to the doc for your own mental satisfaction.

If she is gaining weight properly then dont worry...cause like adults sometimes they will feel more hungry and eat more ,at some feedings will eat less..feed on demand ,dont force her as she will become fussy.how many times you feed at night?...

Hi sangeeta..
3 months old drink 3 oz only..sometimes if they dont feel hungry they drink 2or 2.5oz so dont worry if she is gaining weight that means she is taking proper feed. Also would like to know you breastfeed or formula?you always have to make 3 oz the day she will start finishing 3 oz in every feed start making 4oz.okkkk
take care..feeding on demand will help..dont force her drink milk..
