Name: Nivedita Yalagach My son continued breast bfeeding even after his 2nd bday. I had not given him bottle feed so he continued taking breastfeed mostly during nights. i had a hard time convincing him to stop breastfeeding . My husband had disturbed sleep. Finally i came up with this idea. I went to my mothers place for 10 days. before we went to bed i put a bandage on the nipples and also applied a little red colour to the cotton on the bandage and showed it to him telling that i have got hurt. Since most kids know blood and its color by the age of 2 this idea worked. Infact my son looked concerned that his mommy has got hurt. I did this for a week and now he doesnt ask for a feed.

Hi Nivedita,

Your motive is completed but it' s not a good way to convince your baby. This will leaves a wrong impact on him. Consult to your gynecologist, doctor will tells you best alternative. Other than this try to console your baby by singing lullabies, songs, poems etc. This will helps in diverting mind. Other than this, i always keep my eye on Facebook Pages like BabeezWorld. I would also advice you to do that, this will help in getting latest babies related news, facts, tips etc.
