Due Date Club July 2005:Update

Hi ti Archie,Sudha, Sweety, Revathi,Anitha and all :-) . Hope every one's deepavali was great. Nice to read updates of all the babies. This deepavali, I enjoyed a lot with Lekha. In the evening I had put a lot of lamps everywhere. She enjoyed and smiled looking at them. Lekha has started taking formula. Initially I struggled with the bottle with expressed milk. But she refused it. We tried formula in the bottle. She used to spit it out. Then my mom tried feeding her from the tumbler, with a spoon. Even though she shows initial fussing, she takes it! I am planning to start with cereals after this week.
This time she has gained 1.2 pounds and weighs about 13pounds and 68cms in length. Today she turned 4 months old. Now she can recognises all the people at home and her name too. She throws beautiful smiles at all. After she rolled over last month she moves around quite a lot, grabs on to toys and puts it to her mouth. I think she has strated teething. So I've given her a teether.
Countdown has started for me to join office. I donno how'll it be to leave her and go on the first day. I just hope the transition will be smooth. I have got lot of courage by reading to Sudha's postings.
That's it for now.

Hi Seeja,
Don't worry on rolling over. Normally if baby has higher weight side, this kind of activities takes time to happen.

In case of Advait as he is heavier side, he is just managing to rollover but when it comes to move forward he has done very little progress. If we give him some support from back (where he can touch his leg fingers) he will move from one end bed to another but without support hardly he manage 8-12inch due to his heavy stomach.

Generally girls do this kind of activity faster then boy and reason is simple due to lighter weight.

I am enjoying each bit of time with Advait. Infact I was so fond of TV and now I don't prefer watching them at all, so that I can spend that time with him. He smile so much and giggle also. Whenever I wake him up in the morning, he give cute smile and I get all my days energy from that smile.

Take care,
Sudha

Breast pumps
I am using a medela pump to feed my baby when I am out. The medela breast pumps are really a good choice for the working moms. We can pump the milk regularly and can store it and use whenever needed.... - dalewhither [View Message]
evenflo elan breast pump
Buy this pump! It’s made my life so much easier. I always got sore with my old Medela Advanced, but that never happens with the Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump. What really makes a difference is its ease of use. It’s really easy to switch between pumping phases and take apart to clean. Strongly recommend it for all mothers that pump daily.... - stellatylor [View Message]

try this
As we discussed earlier in this forum I used magnetic alphabets , through which he has learnt alphabets within a week. And number within 4 days.
It is as like take the letter and stick to it where ever he goes more and ask him to search a particular letter. this worked very well for me.
all the best... - Manju [View Message]
