How are you and your cuties? I am wondering how long the postpartum depression lasts. As my parents left for India i am feeling very low. I am getting very tired by end of the day. My son is 4 and a half month old, he expect me to hold him all the time when he is awake. Because my parents used to carry him all the time. Before he used to sleep thr' the nite but now he wakes up one or two times. Also during day time he doesn't nap much. I have a 2 yr old daughter also who needs lot of attention. I feel like crying sometimes. My husband helps a lot but he is also busy at work. Those moms who are managing on your own from the beginning are so great. If your have any tips on managing on your own please let me know.

I know it's really hard dealing with things on your own. I had my mom with me for the forst three weeks of my daughter being born and when she left, I was totally panicked. Things did turn out ok, though. The main thing to remember is that your baby will sense every feeling you go through. If you are anxious, your baby will be anxious, too. So try to stay calm and think positive. When elisting your hubby's help, ask him to help with looking after the kids and get out and go to the mall or a cafe or to a salon and get pampered. I used to take off and go to the gym to work out for an hour or so and came back refreshed. Hope this helps. Hang in there. This all shall soon pass.
