I got Tanvi's ears pierced this weekend. I took her to the Piercing Pagoda at the local mall. The piercing took only about 10 seconds. First they cleaned the area with antiseptic solution. Then marked the spot for piercing. The lady who was doing this asked my husband to distract Tanvi while she was marking the spot. Only thing was, try as much as he could, she would not be distracted by him. Whichever side the lady went to, Tanvi would look there. We finally had to pick up a teddy bear and use that to distract her long enough for the lady to do her job. She cried for a couple of minutes after that, but then she was OK. Looks cute with her earrings. I got her plain gold ones...no fancy stuff yet. They said not to change it for 2 mths. They've also given me some antiseptic solution to clean her ears with every day and asked me to rotate her earrings once a day.
RV and rekha, do you know for how many days we have to clean the ears and rotate the earrings. Iam sure the lady said something about that, but i don't remember. rv replied. Hi jayashree, congrats on the ear piercing. Here they asked us to apply the solution 3 times a day for 6 weeks. I guess it must be the same everywhere.
