I am new to this site and today i read almost all the messages in the April 04 due date group. Hence I am feeling i know you guys. :)
My Due date is 11 April. Its the start of the 11th week and everything around me seems amazing. I am in Atlanta and a housewife.
I read through all the doubts and questions on this message board. And I found they matched with the questions i had in my mind. Even I was confused to have the baby in india or USA. But finally Me and my husband are planning to do it in USA. I do feel scard sometimes as there is noone other than my husband to be around me. But sure with such sites and new friends i would be fine.

I do have a question, how did u guys choose the OBGYN? I am still not sure whether the OBGYN's i am seeing are the right ones for me. The reason for this is most of them dont seem to have large experiences like the GYNACS in india have. Is this normal here? The materiny home where i go has four doctors which are going to see me turn by turn. They seem nice but not that experienced most of them graduating in this last five years period. Do u think i should continue to go there or choose anyone else. ? I had a kidney stone operation earlier this year and my doctor had suggested one of the OBGYN's which i am currently seenig. She is a NRI born and brought up in Atlanta.

What do you all thing? Its hard to ask someone in india since they do not have any idea of how thingswork here.

Welcome to the group. I am from NJ and is in my 9th week. The grp I am seeing is around 15mnts drive from my place and they are experienced pro's and has 5-6 doc's in their grp. I will be siing each of them in my regular visits.

What I will suggest is look for a hospital where they can provide emergency pediatric care if in case of any complications in the last period. Then check for a gyn or a grp who practice here. Even if our delivery is normal I think its better to be on the safe side by choosing a hospital which has emergency care wing for a new born.

i too had a tought ime slecting my doctor, i spoke to a lot of friends and recently i one of my friends baby was dleivered by this doc , so i chose the doc, also the doc is affliated to a hospital close to our house and the doctoe is a middle aged person. and i feel quite comfortable with the doc, based on all this i chose the doc. as tina suggested you could try asking your friends, or else there might be some kind of survey or report on doc aavailable on net you could check that too.. Tina replied. congratulations! and welcome to the group. we are presently staying in a small place and there is one hospital near to our home and its good too. obgyn's here are experienced and for me too 3 doctors are going to see me turn by turn. as this was the only one close to my place, we choose this.
i guess yours is alright too. may be you can ask your friends in the same place as to which doctors they visited.
