I believe parenting is a gift from God. It is to be appreciated and cherished. Being a parent is like sitting on a see-saw. There are highs and lows. At times, you are bursting with pride and at others you feel like slinking away into some deep dark corner.

Parenting is about caring and giving until it hurts, and expecting nothing in return.

As parents we are constantly learning and teaching. We learn to cope with the needs and sometimes impractical demands of our children. The tantrums of a toddler can be quite an unsettling experience, but we soon learn how to cope with the hot little heads. The tumultous teenage years are times when our patience and endurance is put to the ultimate test.
True, the going at this time is tough, but after a few hiccups, more often than not we find that ladla has not turned out to be so bad a bloke after all. And that makes it all worth it. Yet, parents are not infallible.

Swallowing one's pride and admitting to mistakes is also part of the \";How to be a parent curriculum\";.

hi Marietta,
i do agree with u. parenting is an art. u need to enjoy every minute of it so as to create something unique, wonderful!! to be born & to die one day is what every creature does!! but success in life is, as the famous quote by R.W. Emerson is \"; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or redeem a social condition. this is to have succeeded\";. so parenting should be viewed with more responsiblity unlike what it is in an indian society, where its just a part of life process. u r born, u grow, u go to school, college, to work , marry , have children & they grow, & the vicious cycle goes on..... nobody really understands the impact the parents wld make on the personality of the child!! so i personally feel that as couples we need to get ourselves committed towards child rearing even before planning for one!!! should be responsible & ready to meet the ups & downs in parenting!! shoulkd also be a innovative & an enthusiastice parents!!!

I could never understand why on earth would somebody want to become a parent? You simply add on to your responsibilities and worries by producing a child. All your dreams and aspirations go awry when you bring a child into this world. You dont remain yourself but a parent of a child. Instead why not enjoy your own life and do what you want.

Aren't you a child of your parents? So why not to bring one on this planet and inherit what you have and make that new life to enjoy and live youself in this new one!

Parenting is really a boon for mankind. We are given a responsibility of upbringing a child who will be our next generation. A parent has to be extremely careful whie this upbringing.

Great article
I really loved this article. I loved the points and tips. It was very helpful. Parents should try and talk with their children and not at them. I have noticed that many children are afraid of their parents. Parents should not give very strict and harsh punishments for children. I will definitely follow these tips. Thanks a lot.

Parents pressure on children

Some parents put too much pressure on children which is not right. They compare their children with other’s children and cousins which is not right. The relationship between parents and children should be such that children should feel free to discuss even personal problems with parents.

Play Games with your child
Play games with your child and teach them as you play. As you play with your children, teach them the important lessons while playing. During the course of playing, pass on to them those important morals and lessons you want them to learn. Your children will assume that you are only playing with them. My parenting tip.
