hey replied. Breast milk contains live antibodies that kill bacteria. Since bacteria is what, causes milk to spoil, the antibodies in breast milk will keep it fresh longer than formula or processed milk.To help pumped milk stay fresh longer, wash your hands before pumping and make sure the pump and collection bottles are very clean.
Riva replied. For healthy full-term infants:
You can store it at room temperature:
for 4 to 8 hours (at no warmer than 77° Fahrenheit, or 25° Celsius)
You can store it in the refrigerator:
for up to 2 to 3 days at 32°-39° Fahrenheit (0°-3.9° Celsius)
You can store it in the freezer (be sure to leave about an inch of space at the top of the container or bottle to allow for expansion of the milk when it freezes):
for up to 2 weeks in a freezer compartment located inside the refrigerator
for 3 to 4 months in a freezer that' s self-contained and connected on top of or on the side of the refrigerator and is kept at 0° Fahrenheit (-18° Celsius). But be sure to store the milk in the back of the freezer, not in the door)
for 6 to 12 months in a deep freezer that' s always 4° Fahrenheit (-20° Celsius)
If you thaw frozen milk, you can refrigerate it and use it within 24 hours, but do not refreeze it. And don' t save milk from a bottle that your baby already drank out of.
It' s also important to note that different resources provide different variations on the amount of time you can store breast milk at room temperature, in the refrigerator, and in the freezer. Talk to your doctor if you have any concerns or questions. You can use s for breast pumps for storing the milk. You can easily buy one from online baby products portal or mkt :)
riva replied. Pavana, i am completely agree what mel is saying. It' s is absolutely not advisable. Consult to your doctor to get full brief about this. Other than this, i would suggest you to check out Facebook page, Babeez World. This page provides all useful information, tips, advice etc. This page helps me a lot in dealing with my baby. May be it can help you too.
Mel replied. Err.... Actually No. You should not add freshly expressed milk to the container, as the temperature is different. So, it would be better to keep different containers for refill. Do not add freshly expressed milk to the existing container. After expressing, fill in a clean sterilised container, refridgerate. Warm and use as needed. If you express again, put it in a new clean container. I know its a lot of work, but it' s important.
Mel replied. yes, you can store the pumped milk for upto 24 hours in the refrigerator, and upto 1 month in the freezer.
And yes, you need to remove the milk from the storage container, and put in a bottle, warm and offer baby. Any leftover milk in baby' s bottle should be discarded. And any milk left in the container after the end of the day should be discarded, the container, cleaned and sterilized before the next use.

RE:Adult nursing relationship
I was not breastfeed in my childhood hence the idea of sucking and feeding from a woman's full, engorged breasts has infatuated me. It is a fantasy that drives me wild like nothing else, just the thought of laying my head in a woman's lap while she brings her swollen nipples to my mouth.
