Hello all
I have a husband who is loving and supporting. As usual he is the only son and only listens to his mother for everything. But thankfully, he is still loving to me (not my family.). Problem is that during our daily conversations, I feel that he is sounding more and more like his mother. He keeps talking about things she is talking about - like gossiping like an old woman. He never talks about his feeling, but always talks about what is mother says. That drives me mad and I always keep saying the opposite to contradict him, as I get so angry. This is spoiling our relationship. Have you ladies experienced the same ? Any ideas how to overcome this problem. Now a days, each time he opens his mouth, I first suspect whether or not he thought of it himself or if his mother is the one who told him about the topic (it could be any topic)..... ash replied. i am going through the same phase darling...its just that these hubbies get married out of desperation and later realise that they should have got somebody who is like their mom! UH!
i have been married for 5 years and over the years i have realised that the man i loved and married has now changed and is more like a mirror image of his mom...he does whatever she says....speaks what pleases her...
and she is a sweet poison..she is alwys talking sweet to him about me...,u know saying things like...beta..i worry so much about her but she never listens...she is so adamant...and my hubby then carries the same impression about me...
he taunts me the same way his mother does...problem is darling...these MILs generally want that they should make their DILs also suffer the way they have at the hands of their in laws! what to say....

But first consider whether you are directing your resentment (if any) about your mother-in-law towards your husband. From what you have said it seems that you dislike your mother-in-law. Since this issue is damaging your relationship, you need to have a talk with your husband. Refrain from saying anything negative about his mother, and instead focus on how you can better your relationship together.
