my baby has also got rash. its not redish, its white. first in the beginning my ped told me to apply Aveeno baby lotion. it worked well. when i stopped using aveeno then again it comes.
in my second month app he told its like 'ezcema'. he asked me not to use johnson bar soap..coz it would give more dryness. he suggested 'cetaphil' bar soap. it is soap free, its good.
i too massaged with coconut oil first.then used johnson oil, but still the eczema is there.
i dont no which oil is now good to massage her. o too stopped massaging. need to ask my ped this month visit. what olive oil are u using????

Jonson's product have fragrance thats y my nurse practitioner said that don't use nething which has fragrance. i was using jonson head to toe body wash then she said stop this and use DOVE (sensitive one) soap which very mild and no fragrance.
i think olive oil is good. i was using that but after a week he got rashes ...not sure its becoz of oil or wether change. but they r impooving now. they were not red but kind of white little bump(not on the face).

etra vergin olive oil i m using.one of my cousin told me to use that.

Laya had got a severe acne/rashes on her face during her 3rd week and was there till her 6th week.. it was so severe and her face was full reddish and rough and crusty. this strted spreading to her neck and back. her doc asked us to use hydrocortisone1% but no effect, tried aveeno no effect, it became horrible..i applied eucerin no effect..then we tok her again to ped and she prescribed a higher dose of hc. and we also picked aubrey organics natural baby and kids lotion and soap. when we applied hc her redishness reduced after some time when her skin looked dry applied organics lotion. within 3 times her reddishness reduced and acne went off. and we could feel the beautiful and soft baby skin...now am applying only the organics soap and lotion. she was allergic to johnsons baby products and we hve stopped it completely..now really am happy to see her with clear face...And for her massage am applying olive oil...

though the msg was indicated to sweety ..but ialso wnted to share this topic .. as my baby has also got this red rashes over face n dr .said its Ezcema he prescribed one ointment for rashes n ask to put moisture all over when the body is dry .also dress baby in cotton clothes n make sure they dont scratch cos it spreads by doing so.i'm also giving once in 2 days bath with cetaphil n using eucerin as moisture .abt massaging since the rashes were on face ive been massaging him with deshi ghee over body..so far he is doing well.i also showed him to skin spec. she has given one moisturing cream ULTA which is workin well.
