I am 32 year old, with a 6 year old daughter, from Malaysia, working as a secretary. My personal life has been torturous for me for the past 6 years, having a drunkard as my husband, I decided to leave him last month, now on my own. I am terribly depressed, worried my daughter's future, and just can't trust anybody. I am also a loner who dislike having friends, because I been hurt too many time. I am writing to you from Delhi. Listen vaani, I know how you must be feeling. I am also a single parent with a 6 year old girl. got divorced about 2 years back. you need to know that there are women like yourself in this world, who are alone, may be a bit dipressed, sad, lonely etc. but you need to have a lot of courage for the sake of your child. imagine how you would feel if you child turns out depressed and sad like you. parental mood swings have tremendous impact on the children. a child can easily feel a parents grief. since you have now left your husband and on your own, start looking at life in a positive way. Malaysia is still far more advanced than INdia I guess. So move on in life with courage and determination. who knows some years down the line you may even meet someone you really like and the desire to settle down again may come to you!! In the mean while try concentrating on your child's school, hobbies and developing your childs personality.

positive VirginiaGal replied. I wish you were in the US. Our situation is not similar but I am lonely too and dont trust friends either. I still have hope though that I will meet that really good friend one day. Are you in the US?
