hi all.

my son yash was passing stools of different colour and consistancy for 2 days.once they were very dark brown , rest of the time it was green in colour. it happened 4 times.

he is otherwise active and shows nosigns of pain or discomfert.

what can this be due to?has any1 experienced something similar? what des the paed have to say to this?

i was slightly worried. cud some1 throw some light?

shaily rv replied. Hi shaily, i think with the intake of solid foods, babies pass stools become different. Since a week i have been giving rice cereals to Ritika. Last 2 days she too has been passing a different color stool and not watery as it used to be before.

I think this is normal.. it shouldnt be hard stools and they shouldnt be having a trouble passing it. Anyway like Jayashree suggested have a check with Yash's doctor.

Nope...I have not experienced this, but Iam just writing to let you know that I hope everything is well. Hope someone else can shed some more light on this. If you were concerned, though, I'd say give your doc a call.
