Hi All
I am from the may Board. Jan board is getting noticed for the healthy interaction amongst mommies. If i cud pls get u all to ans a question. How many of you(first timers) delivered before or after ur due date. Which week did u deliver? In IIndia they say that a ful term pregnancy is 9 mths 9 days but in Us they count in weeks. Was wondering how accurate is the due dte.

Hi Kads
All my scans till the week before I delivered(37th week scan) showed the EDD=6th Jan:I delivered on 29th Dec(39 1/4 weeks)...so don't worry anything after 37weeks is ok..its after 35 weeks=premmie.

Hi Kads,

My EDD was Feb 4th.
My 20th week scan said EDD is Jan 31st
I Delivered (C-Sec) on Jan 23.

My doc said that the 20th week scan is most accurate. The indian formula of 9 months 9 days and the US one of 40 weeks are the same (9*30+9 =279, 40*7=280). It helps to keep track of milestones, if you count in weeks...

In India, there is still a trend of waiting for 10 days post EDD. This is just not on. You should insist on a scan and ASK about Placental/Umbilical condition (fibre/calcification) 2 days after your EDD.

Don't get scared or go by the formulas. Your instincts will tell you what to do. Knowledge is power.. so keep asking and learning about baby business.

hi all

why all of u r so silent. i know everyone are busy with kids/jobs etc. but still try to rebember this ip site and we all will be in touch sharing the milestones of our kids.
