Do any of your babies have any definite nap times?
If yes then how many & how do you go about it...recently Tia has started napping seriously tho' since I'm not too sure,I keep messing it up...& as a result affecting her night time sleep routine..
just need some tips/ideas to straighten this thing up..

Tia and Megha are angels, so stop complaining. I am just too amazed that they can sleep on their own. Rishi like Rishu can never do that. He will sleep in my lap or on my shoulders for hours, but the second I put him on the bed, he will wake up and start to scream. And you can imagine that scream as how u0 do when someone pinch you nonstop for 2 minutes!!!!

He will stop crying the moment you put your hands under his shoulders to lift him. Shaitan!

He wakes up by 6am for feed and usually sleeps after that till 8.30 AM. Then again its his feed time(he takes feed only in installments - one breast only at a time and not more than 5 minutes) and after some talks and play, its his bath time. After bath, he is usually awake or sleeps in my lap for sometime and is wide awake.

Again sleeps by 3 in teh afternoon for an hour and 7 in the night till 9.30 pm

He is awake will 11 playing and becomes cranky after that and sleeps by 12 - 12.30!!!!!!!! Thank God for my mom, I can never imagine making him sleep all day and night. Day time I will manage, but at night, he becomes so cranky that I leave him to my mom.

He will wake up by 3, 5 and then 6. So only 3 hours of continuous sleep anyway.

I have my mom n dad with me so am really not into the grind of sleep nataks yet. But on thing i kno. Boys and Gals have totally different sleeping patterns!!

Kich most often than not stay wide awake between 2PM and 9.30PM. Gets up 2-3 times at night for is feed and is up at 4.30/5 playing for an hour. Sleeps again at 6 and gets up at 8.30/9 (i wake him up to feed him before rushing to office)Plays/ Sleeps after, depending on the heat (he cant tolerate Airconditioning, can u beleiv it?). Naps and wakes for 30 mins each between 10 and 2, with one feed in between!

That's the story. I really admire you'all that u'r cuties sleep by their own. Kich HAS TO BE CARRIED around and sung to...

Kya karien... you get some u loose some battles with the bacha team...

Reena replied. If Tia is napping then PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me as I am so desperate. Rishu has become worse than what he already was. Can you believe that yesterday he did not take a single snooze from 12noon to 11 pm at nite. Raat ko hum aur Puneet dono sar par haath rakhkar baithe the ki bhai ab so ja. No interest at all. I simply dont know what to do. After sleeping at 11 he woke up 6 times and at 5am finally declared that I am not going back to sleep so dont even bother. This came just after when I was telling my didi (in India) that Rishu is getting better. He has been doing this natak for 3 nites in a row and I am exhausted. Thakaan ke karan fever hi ho gaya mere ko yaar. I dont know how to control this monster. Abhi bhi from morn 9.30 he has been trying to sleep (and me too) but he got up 4 times between 9.30 to 10.30. I got totally frust and decided to not even try and sleep. PLEASE HELP ME OR I SHALL GO TOTALLY CRAZY! Am feeling too agitated, irritated, upset and depressed and it seems I havent slept since Jan 1. 2005.

First of all, megha is angry with Sush Aunty for calling her friend Tia-the -terrible ...Tia is such an adorable sweetheart...just saw her snaps again in the jan mommie group waala album ...bichari kitni shareef lagti hai ...such a pyaar bacha.
Achcha about Megha's nap time- she takes a small nap after every 2- 2 and a half hours.
This is her normal routine:
Nap No.1)
she usually wakes up at about 6:30 a.m. has her feed and dozes off by herself for another 2 hours or so...

Nap no.2)By 10:30 a.m. I give her a bath and she is ready for a mini feed and nap. She sleeps for an hour.

Nap No.3) After this if i am lucky she sleeps in the afternoon for about 2 hours with breaks in between..but sometimes this gets messed up and she doesn't sleep in the afternoon at all..Then she sleeps in the evening 5-6p.m. for an hour ...

Then finally goes to bed by 8:00
wakes up at night one around 2:00.
So totally she sleeps for 3-4 hours in the day and about 9 hours at night.
These days i am training her to sleep by herself at nights. Just put her in the crib when she is drowsy but not cranky , switch on her mobile ( just silent humming sound..no music and a dim light) . she falls asleep after crying for about 5 minutes ..sometimes even without crying.
I check on her from a distance but make sure she is not aware of my presence in the room.
When she becomes very cranky this technique doesn't work..but then she falls asleep easily on her dad's shoulder in 5-10 minutes.

That's my side of the story.Would love to get ideas from everyone.
