Thanks for ur input abt perineal stretching exercises ! I am still debating whether I should do it or not, somehow am not very comfortable abt it.

Avi, u r right, gloves would be essential if we plan to do this. And yes the nurses/midwives will help during delivery so it may be ok not to do these exercises just now.
Vindhya, there is a post by someone on the Dec board abt squatting and tailor sitting that may also help stretch the perineum. I plan to try that out first, before doing these stretching exercises. Have a look at that post when u have time.
Oh yes, Vindhya, I am flattered that u think of me as an active person :-0) but nothing can be farther from the truth !! I have been pretty lazy thru out the pregnancy and haven't been doing any exercises regularly :) Apart from normal housework I don't seem to do anything :)
My due date is Nov 22 and both me and my hubby just can't wait to hold the baby in our hands :)
A lot of us on the Nov board seem to be an East Bay, I live in East Bay too, maybe we should meet up sometime...that would be fun :)
