Hi Jagruthi,
Iam from october board and i came across ur query..I have also been diagonsed with GD and asked for help from the members of the board but no one seems to have this problem and so i was left with no advice.

The way i kept my levels under control is by trial and error method experimenting with the food.My diet plan is

Breakfast: one toast(whole grain bread)+Boiled Egg+One idly

Morning snack: 1 8oz cup milk + 5 saltines + Carrot (optional)+ One boiled Egg(optional)

Afternoon : 1cup rice with curry+ one Idly

Afternoon snack : One carrot + couple of peanuts + Saltines

Dinner : 2/3 cup rice + 1/2 cup brocolli+ 1 boiled egg + Butter Milk(made with yogurt)

Night snack: 1 8oz milk + Half apple + 1 idly

YOu see that i had idly like almost in my every meal, i dont know why but it kept hunger of me (mind you my idlys are very small size than regular ones)

I have been on the diet since my seventh month and i have been able to maintain my blood levels in two digits almost 95% of the time..

I had egg twice daily bcos i wasnt gaining much weight..

I tried varying foods like instead of toast in the breakfast i had three small idlys or 4 thin dosas.

I also had chicken , fish and prawns.

THis is just to give you an idea...My plan may not work for you.. Just keep trying on with variety of foods and monitor your levels.. pretty soon you will get urself a plan.. All the best with your pregnancy

Domperidone
There is a medicine for this condition. If your child is spitting up BF as well as lactogen, then Farex would not be the solution. There is a medicine which contains Domperidone made exclusively for babies which effectively treats this condition. Ask your doctor and then if he gives the go ahead, you can try this medicine. ... - Mel [View Message]
